6/05/09Randy Johnson pitched six shutout innings on Thursday to secure his incredible milestone of 300 career wins. Johnson was flawless and even carried a no hitter through five innings and only threw 78 total pitches. Johnson made a diving play in the sixth inning but was able to complete the inning. He did bruise his shoulder which did not allow him to return for the 7th inning. Johnson is fine and should make his next start as scheduled.
5/27/09Randy Johnson was brilliant Wednesday night as he (finally) secured win #299 by giving up one earned run, zero walks, and five strikeouts in six innings of work. Johnson will go for win #300 on Wednesday at Washington.
5/23/09Johnson was once again denied win #299 but it was still a magical night in Seattle. Johnson pitched well enough to win going 5.1 innings with one earned run while striking out 7 Mariners. The Giants once again could not provide run support which has been the story all season long.
5/17/09In a perfect world Randy Johnson would be preparing for win number 300 against his first major league team the Seattle Mariners in an inter league match up set to take place this coming week. Unfortunately Johnson could not come up with win #299 against the Mets and has a lot of work to do if he is to get to 300 anytime soon. Johnson has been awful in two of his last three starts, but has a week to peruse over game film for what could be a magical Friday night in his return to Seattle.
