6/01/09Thames has begun a rehab assignment as he is coming back from a strained rib cage muscle. He is not hitting well during the rehab assignment as he has just two hits in 17 at-bats (.117).
4/22/09Thames will be out indefinitely after straining a rib cage muscle in batting practice on Tuesday. He will not be allowed to perform anything physical for two-to-four weeks and would begin rehabbing the injury after that. He was placed on the DL.

7/18/03The Rangers recalled Thames from Triple-A Oklahoma Wednesday. He probably will start in left field today. Manager Showalter said Thames may also see time in right field but not center. Thames hit .258 with two homers and seven RBI in 18 games at Oklahoma.
