5/26/10Ethier is supposed to come off the disabled list next Monday and it is looking like it will actually happen on time since Ethier has responded well to having splint on his broken right pinkie, according to MLB.com.
5/19/10Ethier was placed on the 15-disabled list Tuesday for the first time in his five-year career, four days after a freak mishap in the indoor batting cage at San Diego’s Petco Park left him with a fracture in the top knuckle of his finger after it slipped off the knob and shifted to the other side of the bat handle.
5/16/10Major league batting leader Andre Ethier of the Los Angeles Dodgers has a fractured bone at the end of his right pinkie and isn’t sure how long he’ll be sidelined. Ethier sustained the injury during batting practice Saturday and sat out the Dodgers’ 4-1 win against the San Diego Padres. He’ll be examined by a hand specialist in Los Angeles on Sunday.
4/12/10 Manager Joe Torre said on Sunday that he is confident Andre Ethier will return to the starting lineup for Tuesday's home opener. Ethier missed his fourth consecutive start on Sunday because of an ankle sprained in Pittsburgh on Wednesday night, but he appeared much improved during pregame agility drills. He came off the bench on Saturday night to hit a two-run pinch-hit single.
4/09/10Outfielder Andre Ethier was out of Thursday's lineup because of a turned left ankle suffered during Wednesday night's 4-3 extra-inning loss. X-rays of Ethier's ankle were negative, but it was swollen and sore. He was being treated by the medical department, and manager Joe Torre said he did not know how long Ethier would be out of the lineup.
