The difficult Nick Chubb comeback circumstances for Bears to ponder. There is one ray of hope in this Nick Chubb fascination being attached without real verification to the Bears. It's how bad the Browns were on offense last year when Chubb was trying to make a comeback from left knee surgeries, and then his very small amount of success at 2024 season's end. Too much past evidence shows a 29-year-old back like Chubb would have trouble accomplishing such a comeback if he signed with the Bears or any other team. Cleveland's offensive line last year lost its direction before the season even started.

No Compensatory Picks Projected for Giants in 2026. The New York Giants had a very busy and productive free agency period earlier this offseason. According to Over the Cap, the Giants signed six free agents but only lost one that might have counted in the formula, that being outside linebacker Azeez Ojulari, who signed with the Eagles. Ojulari's deal might have meant an extra seventh round pick for the Giants, except that was cancelled out by the signing of backup quarterback Jameis Winston. Meanwhile the Giants, as of right now, will have just six picks in next year's draft, including a first, second, fourth, fifth and two sixes, the second of which was acquired from Dallas thanks to the conditions of the trade of defensive lineman Jordan Phillips last year having been satisfied.

RB Dobbins receives rare UFA tender from Bolts. Running back J.K. Dobbins and wide receiver Elijah Moore received the seldom-used unrestricted free agent tender from the Los Angeles Chargers and Cleveland Browns, respectively, according to the NFL's Tuesday morning transactions log. With the tender applied, both players will still apply to the compensatory draft formula for the 2026 draft if they sign with another team before July 22. If they do not sign with another team before that date, the Chargers and Browns will then hold their exclusive negotiating rights.

Ken Carman, a sports broadcaster with Browns Radio Network station 92.3FM The Fan, made the comment he has heard Browns running back Nick Chubb is "getting close" to another team, one from the NFC North. Simple deduction says it's the Bears, although there is no confirmation of this. The only team with a really obvious running back need in the NFC North is the Bears, but that doesn't mean a team like the Vikings or Packers would ignore the chance to sign a back with Chubb's reputation.

Then-general manager Tom Telesco bet on third-year running back Zamir White to replicate the production of former First-Team All-Pro Josh Jacobs. As a result, the Dolphins spent their first three picks doing just that, selecting defensive lineman Kenneth Grant in the first, offensive lineman Jonah Savaiinaea in the second, and defensive lineman Jordan Phillips in the fifth. Vinnie Iyer of Sporting News listed the Dolphins' selection of Texas quarterback Quinn Ewers with the No. 231 pick as one of the biggest late-round steals of the draft.

Connecticut strong man Thomas Perry invited to Baltimore Ravens' NFL rookie mini-camp. Thomas Perry has made a name for himself in the college football world by embracing the hard stuff. The 6-foot-3, 317-pound offensive lineman from Killingworth had such an impressive senior season at Division III Middlebury College that the Ravens contacted him when the NFL Draft concluded Saturday and told him that they wanted him to join their drafted rookies and a group of other undrafted free agents at a mini-camp May 2-4.
