Falcons Third-Rounder Ranked Among Best Picks in 2025 NFL Draft. Much of the national conversation around the 2025 NFL Draft for the Atlanta Falcons has been the team's trade back up into the first round. But general manager Terry Fontenot orchestrated two significant trades up the board during the 2025 Draft. The second trade up was for Notre Dame safety Xavier Watts. On Tuesday, Sports Illustrated's (and SI on Falcons' own) Daniel Flick named Watts one of his favorite selections of the entire 2025 draft class. 2025 NFL Draft: Did the Chicago Bears have the best draft in the NFC North?. The last chance for NFL teams to significantly improve their rosters before this season starts, the 2025 NFL draft, is over. Of course, we can't offer any true grades on this draft class until we see them on the field, but for now, let's take a look at the four new draft classes of the NFC North and attempt to rank them. The price of some trades they made over the past few years caught up to the Vikings, leaving them with only five selections in the 2025 NFL draft. Minnesota did not pick again until the very back of the third round, then had just three remaining picks, two of which were in the 200s.

"When you looked at the rest of the division—the (Miami Dolphins), the (Buffalo Bills), the Jets—we were definitely in their way, to the extent that they would have to go through us to win the division, but if you then look at each team's fortunes over the last 5 or 6 years, after (Bill Belichick) and I both left, it becomes pretty clear for at least one team, the New York Jets, that the Patriots were not their biggest problem," Brady said.
