Saints TE Gives Honest Take on Where Tyler Shough Stands in New Orleans’ ‘Full Blown’ QB1 Competition.
The New Orleans Saints face a big question at quarterback as they prepare for the 2025 NFL season. With Derek Carr no longer on the roster, the team’s QB competition is wide open. Well-known prospects like Spencer Rattler and Jake Haener are in the mix, but rookie Tyler Shough is quietly making a name for […]

Deebo Samuel (WR - SF)

7/2/25 4:57 PM -
49ers free agent idea lands $100 million WR. This offseason, the San Francisco 49ers made a major trade, sending away their veteran receiver, Deebo Samuel, to the Washington Commanders. With Samuel now out the door in San Francisco, the team could still look to upgrade the receiving position before the start of the new season. There aren't many big-time free-agent receivers available, but former Buffalo Bills receiver Amari Cooper is still on the open market, and Cody Benjamin from CBS Sports thinks the 49ers should try to sign him.

Saints Sleeper? NFL Draft Steal Has Tools To Start. As training camp approaches, there are arguably two big questions around the New Orleans Saints. Right now, the Saints are in a quarterback competition between Tyler Shough, Spencer Rattler, and Jake Haener. The winner will be decided in training camp and that is the biggest question and talking point around the team. The Saints' cornerback room has some questions.

2009 Saints Ranked Among Top 5 Super Bowl Champions Of 21st Century. The NFL offseason is a perfect time to debate greatness, and the New Orleans Saints have one glorious moment of greatness in their dreary history. In 2009, the Saints could do no wrong. Quarterback Drew Brees led them to a 13-3 regular season record and home-field advantage in the NFC playoffs. From there, they beat Kurt Warner's Arizona Cardinals, Brett Favre's Minnesota Vikings, and Peyton Manning's Indianapolis Colts en route to the franchise's only Super Bowl win.

Exactly one week after it was announced that cornerback Shaquill Griffin would be reuniting with the Seattle Seahawks, the team has made it official. DK Metcalf (WR - SEA)

7/2/25 2:00 PM -
NFL insider: DK Metcalf was exceptional for under-pressure Seahawks QB in 2024. In this era of huge passing numbers in the National Football League, getting after opposing quarterbacks is a big-time priority for enemy defenses. Likewise, protecting the man behind center is very important to the head coach and his offensive coordinators. Lauren Gray of Pro Football Focus put together some very interesting analysis when it came to NFL wide receivers and who are the Top 10 in the league when comes to being the highest target rates when the quarterback is under pressure. Gray referred to them in the title as “Safety-Blanket WRs.”

Darnold had plenty of success in 2024 with the Minnesota Vikings, but there are still concerns. One of the more intriguing prospects in the class, Milroe has the tools to be a dangerous runner right away. Eli Manning (QB - NYG)

7/2/25 12:00 PM -
This Position Group Named Giants' Biggest Question Mark Ahead of Training Camp. When an NFL franchise's quarterback situation has been in such dire straits for as long as the New York Giants' room has, it's understandable for those on the outside to doubt that anything will be different with the position as the 2025 season is right around the corner. For the first time in a long while, the Giants arsenal of gunslingers appears to be in the best shape it's been since the team saw their two-time Super Bowl MVP and legendary arm Eli Manning hang up the cleats for retirement at the end of the 2019 campaign. Through six mostly grueling seasons, the Giants tried to make it work with Daniel Jones as the heir apparent to the helm, but nagging injuries and a habit of poor decision-making in the pocket would mar his tenure in the Big Apple. The franchise would need to take a drastic turn to get back on the right track, which led to several significant moves at the quarterback position.

Bears QB Caleb Williams bothers former NFL star for multiple reasons. Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams is probably one of the more polarizing players in the NFL, which does not come as much of a surprise given that he was also a somewhat controversial figure at USC. Heading into the professional level, many questioned whether or not Williams had the mental fortitude to handle the rigors of 17 games against the top athletes in the world, and some even questioned if he was really all that elite under center to begin with. Former NFL quarterback Matt Hasselbeck expressed his concerns about Williams during a recent appearance on The Herd, specifically naming a few things about the second-year signal-caller that perturbed him, first zeroing in on Williams taking 68 sacks during his rookie campaign.

Will WR Darius Slayton Be Called Upon More This Season?. The New York Giants haven't had a lot to celebrate over the last several seasons, but one player they could give themselves a pat on the back for finding and supporting their offense in that span is wide receiver Darius Slayton. While Slayton, the Giants' 2019 fifth-round pick out of Auburn, wasn't a selection made by the Joe Schoen-Brian Daboll regime, the current leadership has seen firsthand the immense value that the veteran wide receiver brings to the team and knew they couldn't let that slip away in free agency this past spring. Before his teammate, Malik Nabers, stepped onto the scene in 2024, Slayton held the distinction of being the Giants' trusty pass catcher.

The San Francisco 49ers traded for Christian McCaffrey, and it led them to a Super Bowl, even if they didn't win. DJ Moore maintains All-NFC North status even after an off year. With the possible exception of Caleb Williams, no one on the Bears offense welcomes the arrival of Chicago Bears coach Ben Johnson more than DJ Moore. In fact, Johnson probably appreciates it more than Williams because the second-year quarterback doesn't know what he doesn't know, as they say. Moore has seen what he can be as a receiver with proper targeting and play design, and now can realize this role again in 2025 after averaging a career-low 9.9 yards per reception in a struggling offense. Las Vegas had the 32nd-ranked rushing attack in the NFL last season, as the unit mustered only 79.8 yards per game. InsideTheStar.com takes a look at why no one should care about the past Barkley is rehashing.

Will the Miami Dolphins Now Target Michael Mayer?. The Las Vegas Raiders will go into the 2025 NFL season with a much improved offense. Especially with a new quarterback in veteran quarterback Geno Smith and also having a new offensive coordinator in Chip Kelly, they can take their game to the next level.
