Rafael Devers, by contrast, will have a different reception awaiting him when he plays his first game at Fenway Park next August following an ugly fallout that ended with him being traded to San Francisco. Devers' return to Boston is one of the headliners of the Giants' 2026 schedule, which Major League Baseball released on Tuesday morning. The whole schedule can be viewed on the Giants' website. 8/06/25 | Logan Webb Just Passed Tim Lincecum on Impressive List in San Francisco Giants History. The San Francisco Giants got back to .500 on Tuesday night by beating the Pittsburgh Pirates 8-1 at PNC Park. The Giants are now 57-57 while the Pirates fell to 49-65. Willy Adames hit his 18th home run of the season for San Francisco, but the real story was starting pitcher Logan Webb, who carved up the Pirates lineup for six innings. The crafty righty gave up just one run on seven hits, walking none and striking out 10. He improved his record to 10-8 and lowered his ERA to 3.24. Furthermore, he also passed former Cy Young winner Tim Lincecum in team history, according to @StatsCentre: Most career performances with 0 walks allowed and a double digit strike total - @SFGiants franchise history Source: https://www.si.com/fannation/mlb/fastball/history/... |
7/29/25 | Brewers Superstar Turned Back Clock To 2019. The Milwaukee Brewers entered the 2025 Major League Baseball season looking for some more power in the middle of the lineup. When you lose a guy like Willy Adames who smashed 32 home runs and drove in 112 runs last year, you have to find a way to get that offense back. Milwaukee didn't go out and make flashy moves, outside of the trade to send Devin Williams to the New York Yankees which did net everyday third baseman Caleb Durbin. The Brewers still could use some more power ahead of the trade deadline, but the club has done a good job finding ways to replace Adames and one person who specifically has done a good job is Christian Yelich. The deadline is less than a week away, and they have been linked to Eugenio Suarez, the top available third baseman. Source: https://www.si.com/mlb/brewers/news-feed/brewers-p... |
7/22/25 | Cubs Unthinkably Find Themselves in Second-Place of NL Central. The Chicago Cubs are no longer leading the NL Central. For the first time since April 2, they are not in first place of their division. That has to feel like a gut punch for the Cubs, since they are in the midst of putting together one of their most exciting seasons in recent memory and the Milwaukee Brewers were at least supposed to be retooling things after losing Willy Adames in free agency and trading away star closer Devin Williams.
