4/10/24 Dodgers Roster: Dinelson Lamet Clears Waivers & Sent To OKC. Dinelson Lamet cleared waivers and was sent outright to the Triple-A Oklahoma City Baseball Club. Lamet was designated for assignment by the Los Angeles Dodgers last Saturday after three appearances and 4.1 innings with the club. Gus Varland was recalled from Oklahoma City as the corresponding move at the time. Lamet was effective in his limited stint with the Dodgers, allowing one earned run and picking up a save against the San Francisco Giants on April 3 while providing extra value as a multi-inning reliever out of the bullpen.

4/07/24 Connor Brogdon Joining Dodgers Roster For Twins Series. Edges of the Los Angeles Dodgers roster have undergone some turnover over the past week, which included Dinelson Lamet getting designated for assignment as part of the team acquiring Connor Brogdon in a trade with the Philadelphia Phillies. The Dodgers traded Minor League pitcher Benony Robles to the Phillies for Brogdon, who was DFA'd last week. Prior to the deal, the Dodgers had called up Nabil Crismatt and more recently Gus Varland to have a fresh pitcher available to help what's been a slightly overworked bullpen in the early stages of the season.

4/04/24 Dodgers News: Dinelson Lamet Appreciated 'Incredibly Exciting' Moment With First Career Save. The Los Angeles Dodgers bullpen underwent some shuffling during their seven-game homestand, with Dinelson Lamet joining the team from Triple-A Oklahoma City among the various roster moves. Lamet had his contract selected on Monday as he took the place of Nabil Crismatt, who had just joined the team the day prior and pitched two scoreless innings. Lamet allowed an unearned run in his Dodgers debut in the series opener against the San Francisco Giants and was back on the mound Wednesday night in an unexpected role. Because of utilizing a bullpen game the night prior, which included Evan Phillips completing a four-out save, and Daniel Hudson pitching in the eighth inning in the finale, Lamet was pressed into being the Dodgers' closer.

Boston took a chance on veteran fireballer Dinelson Lamet during the 2023 season but he struggled. He appeared in just one game with Boston at the big league level and allowed three earned runs in just two innings. He was more impressive in the minors and logged a 3.72 ERA and 16-to-7 strikeout-to-walk ratio with the Triple-A Worcester Red

8/28/23 Should Red Sox Kick Tires On Noah Syndergaard After Guardians Decision?. The Boston Red Sox earlier this season took a flier on a veteran pitcher who once flashed ace-like potential, signing Dinelson Lamet to a minor league contract to bolster their organizational mound depth. Could Boston go down the same path with Noah Syndergaard, a former All-Star who on Sunday was designated for assignment by the Cleveland Guardians?

8/09/23 Red Sox make several roster moves to pitching staff. The Red Sox are doing some more shuffling to their pitching staff. Boston announced a slew of roster moves on Wednesday, with a pair of new relievers arriving for the bullpen. The Red Sox are moving on from righty Dinelson Lamet, who was designated for assignment Wednesday after being roughed up by the Royals in Tuesday night's 9-3 loss. In his only appearance for Boston, Dinelson gave up three runs on four hits over four innings of relief against Kansas City.

8/08/23 House Money: Red Sox Provide Newcomer With Perfect Situation. The marriage of Dinelson Lamet and the Boston Red Sox isn't anything special on paper, but in practice, it could turn out magnificently on both sides. Boston signed Lamet in late June after he was released by the Colorado Rockies, hoping to see if he had anything left in the tank from his superb 2020 season. In that shortened campaign with the San Diego Padres, Lamet flashed a 2.09 ERA across 12 starts with a 4.65 strikeout/walk ratio, finishing fourth in National League Cy Young voting.

8/07/23 New Red Sox hurler focusing on nasty pitch that made him Cy Young candidate. Dinelson Lamet, who the Red Sox promoted Monday, used a nasty slider to finish fourth in the 2020 NL Cy Young voting. The 31-year-old righty threw his slider 53.4% of the time in 2020, holding opponents to a .080 batting average (10-for-125). Opponents slugged only .120 against the pitch. The slider is the pitch he focused on with Triple-A pitching coach Paul Abbott after signing with the Red Sox in late June.

7/21/23 Minor Lines 7/20/23: Late Inning Magic. Dinelson Lamet gave up 3 runs in a 4 1/3 inning performance that seemed doomed from the start due to a home run given up to the second batter he faced. The game went back and forth in the early going, before the bottom of the lineup came through for Worcester. Ronaldo Hernandez hit a home run in the 8th inning, and Stephen Scott hit a 3-run home run in the 8th and 9th inning for six total RBIs.

7/20/23 Could Former Cy Young Candidate With Triple-A Worcester Aid Red Sox?. It was an under-the-radar signing when the Boston Red Sox picked up Dinelson Lamet in late June. Lamet was a Cy Young Award candidate with the San Diego Padres in 2020, finishing fourth in National League voting.

7/15/23 How former Cy Young candidate fared in first AAA start for Red Sox. The Red Sox made a no-risk move by signing a former Cy Young candidate to a minor league contract last month. On Saturday, he took a first small step toward potentially helping Boston's major league rotation at some point this season. Former Padres righty Dinelson Lamet made his first start with the WooSox on Saturday, allowing one run and two hits while recording three strikeouts in three innings against Jacksonville. Lamet threw 30 of his 48 pitches for strikes.

6/28/23 Red Sox sign veteran pitcher who finished 4th in 2020 NL Cy Young voting. With their pitching depth ravaged by injuries, the Red Sox are taking a flier on a pitcher who, not too long ago, was one of the very best in the National League. A source confirmed Wednesday that Boston has agreed to terms on a minor league contract with righty Dinelson Lamet, a former Padres starter who finished fourth in the 2020 NL Cy Young race before struggling mightily over the last two seasons. Lamet, who was cut by the Rockies earlier this month after posting an 11.57 ERA in 25 ? innings to start the season, will report to Triple-A Worcester, where he will serve as immediate rotation depth. Lamet's deal is believed to include opt-out clauses, according to a source.

6/17/23 Colorado Rockies game no. 73 thread: Connor Seabold vs. Bryce Elder. One team got taco's last night, and it wasn't the Colorado Rockies. Dinelson Lamet pitched just four innings and allowed eight runs on five hits (three home runs) with five walks and five strikeouts. Unfortunately, that was the final straw for Lamet, who was designated for assignment this morning. All in all, Lamet made four starts for the Rockies this season.

6/06/23 Rockies' pitching implodes as Giants win ninth straight over Colorado. The enormous scoreboard at Coors Field went on the fritz for a couple of minutes in the first inning Tuesday night. The second was right-hander Dinelson Lamet's maddening lack of pitch command. Colorado pitchers walked a season-high 11 hitters — one short of the franchise record —  in a truly ugly loss. Daniel Bard walked four in the ninth, forcing in a run.

6/03/23 This Week in Purple: Setting our sights on Seattle. This Week in Purple is the place to catch up on the news from our team at Purple Row. The Rockies had a rough week. Dinelson Lamet has been inserted into the rotation, and Blair Calvo made his MLB debut on Tuesday, May 30. Elias Díaz seems to be the frontrunner for the Rockies (more on that in a moment), and Harold Castro is listed for second base.
