7/01/25 All-NFC North running backs show Bears require a different approach. The Chicago Bears lack a running back ranked in the top five within the NFC North, according to a vote of On SI writers from the division. Because Ben Johnson plans to base his offense off of running and play-action passing, it's not exactly a situation made for success. Sure, the Packers, Vikings and Lions might have one or even two backs who rate higher individually, but the Bears' backfield plan under Johnson for this season looks like a true group effort rather than one or two backs.

6/29/25 Biggest offensive challenges ahead for Ben Johnson at Bears camp. Offseason practices brought the Chicago Bears knowledge of the offensive and defensive schemes, let players work at fundamentals, pulled the team closer together and better informed coaches what hand they'd been dealt in terms of personnel. "Then, we'll really just be able to focus on getting good at football plays from there and out, and situations," coach Ben Johnson said. It sounds almost clinical with the way Johnson has broken it down. On offense, especially, the challenges Johnson faces will be unique and also potentially destructive.

6/28/25 Bears' Joe Thuney earns under-the-radar praise entering 2025 NFL season. The Chicago Bears had one primary objective after hiring coach Ben Johnson this offseason: rebuild and improve the offensive line so that quarterback Caleb Williams has a realistic chance to execute Johnson's game plan, one that should be among the most exciting in the NFL in 2025. General manager Ryan Poles wasted little time accomplishing that goal with trades for guards Jonah Jackson and Joe Thuney and signing center Drew Dalman in free agency.

6/28/25 Colston Loveland predicted to have big rookie season with Bears. There are high expectations for Chicago Bears rookie tight end Colston Loveland in 2025.

6/27/25 Chicago Bears who need big preseason performances the most. Preseason games normally stimulate yawns because of how little starters play but the Chicago Bears will have specific things to look at this preseason. The games against Miami, Buffalo and Kansas City won't necessarily tell them a ton about Caleb Williams in Ben Johnson's offense because no one wants to give away a lot about their plans in a meaningless clash. Plus, the idea is to protect certain players until regular season and Williams is one of them. Johnson can see what he wants to see from his quarterback during joint practices against the Dolphins and Bills because those are controlled situations with less risk of injury.

6/26/25 Best arguments for Chicago Bears making a worst-to-first run. A worst-to-first climb in 2018 meant a Bears NFC North title for the first time since 2010. It's the type of thing many Bears fans are banking on their team doing in 2025 after all the offseason changes made, and there are good reasons for optimism. History ranks right up there as one with Bears fans, who have seen it happen three times for their team since the turn of the century even if there have been big gaps between those occurrences: 2001, 2005 and 2018.

6/26/25 The Chiefs' Left Guard Competition is Heating Up. The Kansas City Chiefs' training camp gets underway on July 21, which means that the position battles will only ramp up from here on out. The Chiefs made an effort to improve their offensive line from last season, but did take a major hit to that by trading away veteran Joe Thuney to the Chicago Bears. Now with Thuney gone, the Chiefs have made the competition for the starting left guard position clear. As announced earlier this offseason by head coach Andy Reid, both second-year player Kingsley Suamataia and Mike Caliendo will be competing for the position.

6/25/25 Biggest takeaway from Chicago Bears' 2025 offseason workouts revealed. It's been quite the offseason for the Chicago Bears in 2025. From hiring the NFL's top head coaching candidate in Ben Johnson to fixing an offensive line that's haunted most of the team's failed starting quarterbacks in recent years, the Bears have successfully targeted obvious weaknesses, fixed them, and turned them into strengths. The expected development of second-year quarterback Caleb Williams has Bears fans excited, as does the probable massive increase in production for Williams' 2024 first-round classmate, Rome Odunze.

6/25/25 Chicago Bears' Caleb Williams Names Worst Fanbase In NFL. Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams has spent a year in the NFL and learned a crucial part of being the team's franchise quarterback. One thing Williams learned in his first year in the NFL is the rivalry between the Bears and the Green Bay Packers. The former USC Trojans quarterback spoke during the Fanatics Fanbase about the Packers' fanbase, making his opinions clear.

6/24/25 Chicago Bears' offseason summed up in one powerful word by FOX Sports. Chicago Bears fans are feeling good about the work general manager Ryan Poles did this offseason, ranging from the hiring of Ben Johnson as head coach to rebuilding the offensive line for Caleb Williams and getting the second-year quarterback some new weapons in the 2025 NFL Draft. Perhaps those expectations are a bit unrealistic, but that's what happens when a team like the Bears has struggled to be relevant since 2020, the last time they made the playoffs. In fact, the feeling in and around Bears Nation was described best by Fox Sports, who used one word to describe every team's 2025 offseason.

6/23/25 Bears trade idea sends $21 million pass rusher to Chicago. The Chicago Bears are looking forward to the 2025 season after finishing last year with a 5-12 record. Chicago made a significant move this offseason by hiring new head coach Ben Johnson, and the team might not be done making moves just yet. With about a month to go before training camp, the Bears could still be looking to upgrade their roster. Pete Martuneac from the Chicago Bears on SI thinks the team should trade for Cincinnati Bengals pass rusher Trey Hendrickson.

6/23/25 Former Bears 6-time Pro Bowler urged to sign with conference rival. The Chicago Bears had one of the best receiving cores in the NFL last season with D.J. Moore, Rome Odunze, and Keenan Allen. Allen has been one of the best receivers in the NFL over his 12-year career, but is currently still a free agent. With the offseason coming to an end, many teams will be looking to add depth at some positions heading into training camp, and Bob Rose from Saints Wire thinks the New Orleans Saints should try to sign Allen.
