9/04/25 Blue Jays' Bo Bichette gets $280 million contract update from MLB insider. Shortstops get paid. That's the basic intel provided from ESPN's Jeff Passan in a deep dive on this offseason's upcoming free agency. And the best shortstop on the market, by a mile and a half, is Toronto Blue Jays star Bo Bichette. And so, Passan writes, Bichette will get paid. He brings up Xander Bogaerts' $280 million contract with the San Diego Padres as a comparison point. Many have speculated Bichette is a $200 million player. But maybe he's more. "Bichette is only 27 years old, not 28 until March, the youngest of all the free agents," Passan writes. "He's in his prime with years left to spare. He's a consistent .300-plus hitter. He goes to all fields. He's got power. His problem with lateral

9/02/25 Blue Jays' Bo Bichette is doing something only Yankees' Aaron Judge has done this season. Bo Bichette continues to put his nightmare 2024 season behind him. The struggles of a year ago look more and more like an aberration for the Toronto Blue Jays' star shortstop. Bichette is batting above .300 with 90-plus RBI, a criteria only matched in all of MLB so far this season by New York Yankees superstar Aaron Judge.

8/27/25 Blue Jays Shortstop Bo Bichette Could Be First To Achieve Stat In Over 10 Years. By now, it's no secret that the Toronto Blue Jays are a major force in not just the American League but the whole league. Part of their potent offense is shortstop Bo Bichette, who continues to have a fantastic 2025, including being tied for the MLB league in RBIs with 84 on the year. For Bichette and the Blue Jays, the revelation at the plate has arrived, despite a slower appearance of the long ball. Now, the Blue Jays shortstop has an opportunity to finish with over 100 RBI's and less than 20 home runs, and would be the first player to do so since Brandon Phillips achieved the feat in 2013.

8/20/25 Blue Jays Relief Pitcher Has Been Team's Most Surprising Rookie This Season. The Toronto Blue Jays have received a lot of major contributions from players up and down their roster during the 2025 MLB regular season, leading to a lot of success on the field. Alas, a lot of that production has been in the form of established Big Leaguers getting back on track. Think shortstop Bo Bichette showing that 2024 was a blip on the radar because of injuries. On the mound, starting pitcher Chris Bassitt has turned the clock back a bit.
