5/22/25 Former Iowa Hawkeyes Star Could Be Doomed With NFL Team. When former Iowa Hawkeyes tight end Noah Fant entered the 2019 NFL Draft, he was viewed as a fantastic prospect with a very bright future. Fant was ultimately selected by the Denver Broncos with the 20th overall pick that year, and he went on to show significant promise during his rookie campaign, catching 40 passes for 562 yards and three touchdowns. Since then, however, Fant has proven to be a massive disappointment, particularly since being traded to the Seattle Seahawks back in March 2022.

5/21/25 Giants-Seahawks trade pitch brings $21 million weapon to New York. The New York Giants did little to add depth to the tight end position this offseason. With OTAs set to begin next week, the Giants could use more depth in the tight end room, which is why Jared Kawada of Clutch Points urged New York to acquire Noah Fant from the Seattle Seahawks.

1/14/25 Broncos 2025 NFL mock draft tracker 1.0: What national experts predict Denver will do. The Broncos' season ended Sunday after losing to the Bills, 31-7, in the wild-card round. It's a spot the franchise has picked from four times since the AFL-NFL merger, selecting Hall of Famer Steve Atwater (1989), offensive tackles George Foster (2008) and Garett Bolles (2017), and tight end Noah Fant (2019).

Point spread: 49ers by 6.5 (via VegasInsider). Key injuries: Seattle has no question marks entering the game, with tight ends Noah Fant and Brady Russell declared out and everyone else ready to go.

8/16/24 Injuries to Seahawks' top tight ends create opportunity for backups in second preseason game. Maybe the injuries to Noah Fant and Pharaoh Brown are no big deal. Brown, who is Fant's listed backup, then suffered the most notable injury here when he hurt his foot on a hard hit by Tennessee cornerback Roger McCreary.

5/29/24 Unlocking Noah Fant Crucial to Seattle Seahawks Reaching Offensive Potential. Showing plenty of potency generating explosives, particularly in the passing game, Seattle tied for 10th in the NFL averaging 5.5 yards per play. At the center of those woes, few teams were less efficient finishing drives with six points inside the opposing 20-yard line, as they ranked 26th in red zone touchdown percentage at an ugly 48.15 percent, settling far too often for field goals or turnovers on downs. What contributed most to Seattle's year-long struggles capping off red zone visits in the end zone?

4/20/24 Seahawks pre-draft position overview: Tight end possible but not major need. In his fifth NFL season in 2023 and second with the Seahawks, Noah Fant posted career lows in receptions (32), yards (414) and touchdowns (zero). In what proved to be the second-biggest contract the Seahawks handed out this offseason, the Seahawks re-signed Fant to a two-year deal worth up to $21 million. Only Geno Smith, DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett will have a bigger cap hit this year on offense than Fant's $7.5 million. There was some urgency to get a deal done with Fant — who is the only one of the three veteran players the Seahawks received in the Russell Wilson trade who remains with the team — after cutting Will Dissly and seeing Colby Parkinson sign with the Rams.

3/25/24 Here are telling contract numbers behind Seahawks' retooled defense. Once the Seahawks took care of their biggest priorities during the NFL's free-agent signing period — re-signing defensive lineman Leonard Williams and tight end Noah Fant — the rest of their time was mostly spent filling holes. Free agency began with the Seahawks creating salary-cap space to assure they could keep Williams, who signed a three-year deal worth up to $64.5 million, and Fant, who signed a two-year deal worth up to $21 million. Williams is fifth at $10.4 million and Fant eighth at $7.5 million. Two position groups where the Seahawks saved money, allowing them to keep Williams and Fant, were safety and linebacker.

3/15/24 Here's what the Seahawks did in the first week of NFL free agency. Maybe the Seahawks didn't make as many big moves during free agency as many fans might have hoped or expected. As of Friday afternoon, the Seahawks had signed five external free agents, kept 11 of their own, and made a trade — all while saying goodbye to a team legend for the second time in three years, but this time probably for good. DL Leonard Williams: Getting Williams back in the fold was the Seahawks' top priority in the offseason, and they got it done. TE Noah Fant: They knew they wanted to keep either Fant or Colby Parkinson.
