I think this year is going to fare much better, though. By the end of August last year, the 4 teams had slipped and were nearly a collective 30 games under .500, mostly thanks to an awful St Lucie 2024 team. I expect the Mets' 2025 minors current .560 win rate to continue, if not increase. Why? More strong performing prospect players, fewer bad players, year over year. A big part of that? New York Mets top prospect Ronny Mauricio is reportedly ready to take a huge step in his lengthy rehab process on Tuesday night. According to Hector Gomez of Z101 Digital, Mauricio will begin a rehab assignment on Tuesday with the Class A St. Luice Mets. Ronny Mauricio will play his first rehabilitation game tomorrow, Tuesday, with the Class A St. Lucie Mets as the designated hitter after undergoing surgery to repair a torn ACL in his right knee in January 2024 and a follow-up arthroscopic procedure in August to remove scar tissue. The team revealed that top prospect infielder Ronny Mauricio underwent arthroscopic surgery to remove scar tissue in his right knee earlier in the week. Mauricio is still expected to get back on the field in the offseason and his rehab progression will depend on the tolerance of his knee, per the club.
