9/06/25 Braves' Chris Sale drops brutally honest 2025 admission. In his second start since returning from injury, Chris Sale reflected on what might have been had he stayed healthy all season—a moment that added emotional weight to an already dominant performance. The return of the reigning NL Cy Young Award winner has been a rare bright spot in an otherwise turbulent season for the club. After missing more than two months with a fractured rib sustained on June 18 against the New York Mets, Sale has regained elite form.

9/06/25 What-Ifs of Missed Time Not Lost on Chris Sale, Atlanta Braves. It was another business-as-usual night for Chris Sale. He gave the Atlanta Braves 6 2/3 innings of one-run ball on four hits while striking out nine against the Seattle Mariners. For someone who missed more than two months of the season, no beats were missed. Over his last 12 starts, which consist of 10 starts from before his injury and two from after, he has a 1.26 ERA. He's still giving the team at least six innings and hasn't allowed more than one earned run since May 11. The work he put in to make sure he came back ready keeps paying dividends, and he expressed his gratitude for the support that made that work possible. “It feels good,” Sale said after the game. “I'm just very thankful for

8/24/25 Braves Have Ideal Timeline for Chris Sale Return. Chris Sale checked an important box in his latest rehab assignment with Triple-A Gwinnett. In his 4 2/3 innings pitched, the Atlanta Braves lefty reached 77 pitches, just above the target 75. This puts his activation from the injured list on the horizon. Manager Brian Snitker said after Saturday night's loss to the Mets that they would see how Sale felt the following day and go from there, which has been their standard operating procedure with injuries.

8/23/25 Braves ace Chris Sale has encouraging rehab start amid looming return. Chris Sale looks ready to rejoin Atlanta's rotation. The reigning National League Cy Young winner made his third rehab start on Saturday night for Triple-A Gwinnett, tossing 4 2/3 innings of one-run ball against the Memphis Redbirds. Sale struck out five and walked none while scattering four hits, throwing 77 pitches — 51 for strikes — in what is expected to be his final minor league tune-up before returning to the Braves. After working through the first inning by allowing back-to-back hits and a run, the left-hander settled in, flashing the same command and composure that defined his dominant start to the 2025 season.

8/22/25 Braves Move Chris Sale's Rehab Start Back to Gwinnett. Weather has forced the Atlanta Braves to change their plans for Chris Sale's upcoming rehab start. Both of his first two rehab starts were with Triple-A Gwinnett on home field. While the Braves aren't focused on this, there is a plus to keeping the level of competition consistent during the ramp up period. If his last two starts are an indicator of anything, Sale will likely take another step forward in his perforamance along with the increased pitch count.

8/18/25 Pair Of 2018 Red Sox Reunite To Form Battery In Triple-A Rehab Start. Chris Sale might not love pitching in the minors, even for a rehab assignment, but he had to love his catcher over the weekend. The Atlanta Braves starter pitched for Triple-A Gwinnett on Sunday in a rehab start as he works his way back from a ribcage injury. Awaiting him to catch his rehab game was none other than fellow 2018 World Series winner, Sandy Leon. Leon had just been outrighted off the Braves' roster to make room for the return of Ronald Acuña Jr.
