8/31/25 Blue Jays back to winning ahead of key trip with stops in Cincinnati and the Bronx. A defensive miscue, a couple of choppy hits and it looked like the Toronto Blue Jays were going to let another game slip between their fingers. Nance's gutsy performance in the top of the fifth gave the Blue Jays' dugout a boost, with Tyler Heineman doubling in a runner in the bottom of the inning, immediately followed by Myles Straw's two-run single as Toronto fended off the Milwaukee Brewers 8-4 on Sunday to avoid a three-game sweep. "We definitely needed to win, for sure," said Nance, who struck out Andrew Vaughn on four pitches and then induced an Isaac Collins groundout to escape the fifth inning.

8/19/25 Ex-Mets OF defends pimping walk: 'Disrespectful' catcher should stop complaining. No matter what team he's on, be it with the Mets, the Chicago White Sox, or any of the 10 teams he's played for in his 12-year career, if Pham feels disrespected, he's going to stand up for himself. After drawing a walk against the Toronto Blue Jays on Monday, Pham flipped his bat in front of catcher Tyler Heineman.

8/16/25 'Deflating,' double-digit loss drops Texas Rangers deeper into late-season hole. There is informative duality in the use of position player pitchers. The Toronto Blue Jays tossed catcher Tyler Heineman onto the mound to finish off a blowout win in front of a sold-out crowd that had just crooned along to a cover of Bruce Channell's 'Hey! The Texas Rangers, out of viable options and even more out of reach of a win, let first baseman Rowdy Tellez pitch the seventh and eighth innings of a game that had escaped them long ago. Be the smartest Rangers fan.
