6/29/25 | Rockies tie game in ninth, beat Brewers in 11 innings. Kyle Farmer's RBI single in the 11th inning lifted the Colorado Rockies to a 4-3 victory over the Milwaukee Brewers on Sunday that also snapped the visiting club's five-game losing streak. Colorado trailed 2-0 after six innings but plated one run in each of the last four frames to notch its 13th comeback victory of the season. The Rockies were down to their last out in the ninth when Orlando Arcia homered to left-center field off Brewers closer Trevor Megill. Source: https://www.reuters.com/sports/baseball/rockies-ti... |
6/14/25 | Woeful Rockies absorb 2 records for futility with 19 whiffs and worst 70-game mark in modern era. Kyle Farmer just shrugged when asked about being part of a Colorado team that just made MLB history with the worst 70-game record in the modern era. “We don't care,” Farmer said after Saturday's 4-1 loss to the Atlanta Braves left the Rockies with a 13-57 record. The Rockies surpassed the 1932 Boston Red Sox, who were 14-56, for the worst 70-game mark since 1901. Source: https://sports.yahoo.com/article/woeful-rockies-ab... |
4/15/25 | Rockies cement franchise record with 32 consecutive scoreless innings in 5-3 defeat to Dodgers. Forget about Colorado's goal of turning a corner in 2025. The Rockies were shut out for the first five innings of a 5-3 defeat to the defending World Series champion Dodgers on Monday in Los Angeles, cementing a club record with 32 straight innings without scoring. An RBI double by Kyle Farmer — Colorado's best hitter by far in a dismal season to date — finally snapped the skid in the sixth inning. The Rockies cannot hit: The Blake Street Bummers have scored just 43 runs so far, the fewest in the majors. Source: https://www.fortmorgantimes.com/2025/04/14/rockies... |
4/12/25 | Tatis, Heyward homer as the Padres shut out the Rockies again, 2-0. Hart (2-0) went six innings, allowing just a double by Kyle Farmer in the fourth inning while striking out four and walking none. Jeremiah Estrada pitched a hitless seventh, Jason Adam allowed a single in the eighth and Robert Suarez allowed two singles in the ninth while earning his big league-leading seventh save in as many chances. 4/11/25 | Reeling Rockies strike out 15 times in 8-0 loss to Padres. Legend has it that the late John McCay, coach of the forlorn 0-16 1976 Tampa Bay Bucs, was asked, “What do you think of your team's execution coach?” To which McKay replied, “I'm in favor of it.” The reeling Rockies, meanwhile, have opened their season with a 3-10 record. • The Rockies had three hits, all by second baseman Kyle Farmer. • Padres right-hander Nick Pivetta dominated the Rockies, allowing those three hits to Farmer, striking out 10 and walking one.
