7/07/25 Athletics' Jacob Lopez Breaks Franchise Record With Wild Run of Strikeouts. The Athletics left-hander gave up two singles, a walk and a hit batsman to the first five San Francisco Giants he faced in the decisive rubber match. From there, though, Lopez punched out Luis Matos and Mike Yastrzemski to get out of the jam.

7/02/25 Giants blow lead but edge D-backs in 10 to end skid. Mike Yastrzemski hit a game-opening home run and Brett Wisely had two hits, an RBI and a run from the No. 9 spot for the Giants, whose skid matched their longest of the season. Giants starter Landen Roupp was lifted after four-plus innings. Arizona's Ketel Marte hit a game-tying two-run homer in the ninth off San Francisco closer Camilo Doval .

6/29/25 1 player San Francisco Giants must trade before 2025 deadline. Mike Yastrzemski has been a fan favorite, a grinder, and a glue guy in the Giants' clubhouse since he arrived in San Francisco. San Francisco is off to a strong start in 2025, proving that last year's mediocrity was a hiccup and not a trend. Now, the Giants must keep the pressure on.

6/18/25 Emotional after trade from SF Giants, Kyle Harrison now 'stoked about the opportunity'. Mike Yastrzemski knew exactly how to console an emotional Kyle Harrison after the Giants' homegrown hurler “took it kind of tough” when dealt to the Boston Red Sox in Sunday's trade for slugger Rafael Devers. Yes, Yastrzemski's roots run deep in Boston – his grandfather, Carl, threw out this season's ceremonial first pitch for the Red Sox – but a trade is also what brought the younger Yastrzemski to the Giants in 2019.

6/02/25 Versatile Jerar Encarnación returns to Giants after March surgery on his broken left hand. Bob Melvin has been waiting for the chance to write Jerar Encarnación's name into San Francisco's lineup. The versatile Encarnación came off the 60-day injured list Monday and made his season debut in a 1-0, 10-inning loss to the San Diego Padres in the opener of the four-game series at Oracle Park. Encarnación went 0 for 3 after replacing Mike Yastrzemski in the sixth and lined out to end the game against flame-throwing Padres closer Robert Suarez in an at-bat that impressed his manager.

5/13/25 Giants Slugger Regaining All-Star Form After Struggling Start to Season. The San Francisco Giants know that their level of success this season will be tied to how productive their offense can be. In the early going, it was center fielder Jung Hoo Lee playing at an incredibly high level alongside veteran outfielder Mike Yastrzemski and second baseman Tyler Fitzgerald, buoying the team's success. With a need for other players to step up and begin producing, one of the sluggers who has answered the call is outfielder Heliot Ramos. In 263 first-half appearances, he had a .298/.365/.523 slash line with 14 home runs, 11 doubles and 46 RBI.

5/12/25 Giants' Mike Yastrzemski Turns Heads With On-Field Change. The San Francisco Giants (24-17) are currently off to their finest start since 2021, which was also the most recent campaign wherein this franchise won the National League West. One can point to many aspects, but part of San Francisco's recent resurgence can be attributed to dynamic play from right fielder Mike Yastrzemski. Yastrzemski — who is MLB Hall-of-Famer Carl Yastrzemski's grandson — is enjoying a nice season both at the plate and in the field.

5/11/25 Giants Slugger Rehabbing from Injury Could Solve First Base Woes. The San Francisco Giants knew that their lineup would be what determined their team's level of success during the 2025 MLB regular season. Center fielder Jung Hoo Lee has cooled off from his stellar start. As has veteran outfielder Mike Yastrzemski. Shortstop Willy Adames is showing some signs of life after a brutal start, while Matt Chapman remains an on-base machine and Heliot Ramos has been providing pop with 16 extra-base hits.

4/30/25 Giants hope key regulars break out in May after sweep at Petco Park. The signs are there, particularly with Mike Yastrzemski, who played the two games at Petco Park with stubble on his chin. The next time Yastrzemski and the Giants take the field, it will be Mustache May, and some in the lineup are desperate for the calendar to turn. April was a good month for the Giants, a surprise contender early on, but it wasn't kind to everyone. The Giants essentially have nine regulars in their lineup, and they all have been healthy.

Yastrzemski hit a grounder to second baseman Brice Turang, who was playing in. Turang's throw to the plate was high and Fitzgerald
