4/29/25 | Yankees could swing blockbuster trade with Brewers for $15M All-Star. The New York Yankees could be looking for starting pitchers near the trade deadline. The Brewers are 14-15 to start the year. While it is still early, their offense looks like one that clearly misses Willy Adames. The Chicago Cubs look like the class of the National League Central, and if the Brewers continue to struggle, they could be sellers at the trade deadline. 4/29/25 | Willy Adames reveals Buster Posey's crucial impact in Giants free agency decision. Willy Adames agreed to a contract with the San Francisco Giants in MLB free agency this past offseason. The $182 million contract certainly played a role in his decision, but Adames also credited Giants' president of baseball operations (and former All-Star catcher) Buster Posey. “I feel like with him (Posey) it was easy because, like, we didn't even talk about money until, like, the last few days,” Adames said recently, via Chris Rose Sports. 4/28/25 | Rays ex-batting champion linked to Giants as possible trade fit. The San Francisco Giants are off to a strong start in 2025. After finishing 80-82 last season and missing the playoffs, they currently lead the National League West by a half-game. Willy Adames has struggled to start the year, and they might need somebody to pick up the slack and give them some more production. Dylan Sanders of Sports Illustrated proposed the idea of San Francisco trading for Tampa Bay Rays first baseman Yandy Diaz. Source: https://www.sportingnews.com/us/mlb/san-francisco-... |
4/24/25 | SF Giants win series as Adames drives in go-ahead run versus old team. Comebacks have been the norm for the Giants this season. The Brewers learned that firsthand. Willy Adames drove in the go-ahead run in the bottom of the eighth inning against his former team to complete a three-run comeback as the Giants defeated the Brewers, 6-5, on Thursday afternoon at Oracle Park to take three of four games from Milwaukee. “We feel confident that we have a really good team and that we're going to make a comeback at any point,” said Adames. 4/22/25 | Giants SS Willy Adames' error issues continue in battle vs. Brewers. Willy Adames' homecoming to Milwaukee hasn't gone according to script. After going 0-for-3 in Monday's opener against his former team, the San Francisco Giants shortstop followed up with a costly error in Tuesday night's 11-3 loss to the Milwaukee Brewers, continuing a troubling early-season trend. Although he did get a hit Tuesday night, he went 1-for-4 and now sits with just a home run, 11 RBIs and just 18 hits through 24 games. The error, his third of the season, came in the sixth inning and opened the door for a Milwaukee scoring surge. It was the kind of routine play fans expect Adames to make, especially given his defensive reputation and the $182 million contract he inked this past winter.
