8/19/25 Reds' Trade Deadline Addition Draws Big Compliment from Brewers Manager. Cincinnati Reds third baseman Ke'Bryan Hayes made a couple of spectacular plays again on Monday night against the Angels. 8/11/25 Reds 3B Ke'Bryan Hayes makes incredible bang-bang play vs. Phillies. New Cincinnati Reds third baseman Ke'Bryan Hayes hasn't done much with his bat this season, but he has been a game-changer with his glove. In the second inning of Cincinnati's game on Monday against the Philadelphia Phillies, Hayes had an absolute gem of a play to get J.T. Realmuto out at first base. Realmuto ripped a pitch from Reds starter Andrew Abbott down the third base line only for Hayes to make a diving stop that took him into foul territory, almost far enough back to be on the outfield grass rather than the infield dirt.

Hayes had spent his entire professional baseball career with the Pirates, who took him with the 32nd overall pick in the 2015 MLB Draft out of Concordia Lutheran High School in Tomball, Texas.
