1/11/24 Dodgers Rumors: Yency Almonte Being Traded To Cubs. The Los Angeles Dodgers face a roster crunch and already had to designate Bryan Hudson for assignment before trading him to the Milwaukee Brewers. Although it's a good problem to have, the Dodgers have been faced with some tough decisions on who to remove from their 40-man roster. With Teoscar Hernández set to join the team, another 40-man spot was needed with no obvious options available on who to waive.

1/06/24 Dodgers trade Bryan Hudson to Brewers for Justin Chambers & player to be named later or cash. Bryan Hudson was the roster casualty for the Dodgers signing Yoshinobu Yamamoto, whose 12-year, $325 million contract was finalized on December 27. Hudson was designated for assignment on that day to make room on the 40-man roster, then one week later was traded to the Brewers. The Dodgers on January 3 acquired minor league left-hander Justin Chambers plus a player to be named later or cash from Milwaukee in the deal. Hudson was a third-round pick of the Cubs in 2015, and after eight seasons in Chicago's minor leagues signed a minor league deal with the Dodgers last offseason.

Sports Dodgers trade LHP Bryan Hudson to Brewers January 3, 2024 / 12:29 PM PST / AP The Milwaukee Brewers acquired Bryan Hudson from the Los Angeles Dodgers for Justin Chambers on Wednesday in an exchange of left-handed pitchers. Los Angeles also will receive either cash or a player to be named. Hudson, 26, went 0-0 with a 7.27 ERA in six appearances for the Dodgers last season with seven strikeouts and four walks in 8 2/3 innings. Los Angeles designated Hudson for assignment last week to make room on their roster for Yoshinobu Yamamoto, the Japanese right-hander who signed a $325 million, 12-year contract. The 6-foot-8 Hudson spent most of the 2023 season in the minors and had a 6-2 record

1/04/24 Brewers Make Trade With Dodgers. MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) — The Milwaukee Brewers swung a trade yesterday. The Athletic reports Milwaukee acquired Bryan Hudson from the Dodgers in exchange for Justin Chambers. The 27-year-old allowed seven earned runs in just under nine innings pitched last season. He spent most of the year in Triple-A where he tallied a 2.43 ERA over 55-plus innings.
