3/20/24 Blue Jays score a run in most hilarious fashion after multiple errors. The Toronto Blue Jays might not yet be playing games that officially count in the standings yet, but that doesn't mean they're any less memorable. In the top of the second inning of a spring training contest against the Atlanta Braves today, outfielder Nathan Lukes ended up scoring a run in a rather absurd fashion. While at the plate, Lukes hit what looked like a rather normal ground ball to the left side of the infield and sprinted to first base. Atlanta pitcher Aaron Bummer fielded the ball, but his throw ended up sailing right field.

It took two batters for Buffalo (59-61, 24-21) to shoot in front. Nathan Lukes led off the top of the first with a single, followed by a Rafael Lantigua two-run home run that powered the Bisons to a 2-0 advantage.

7/09/23 Jansen, Lukes lead Blue Jays to dramatic win over Tigers. Nathan Lukes' RBI double in the 10th inning helped the Toronto Blue Jays finish off a 4-3 comeback victory over the Detroit Tigers on Sunday. The Blue Jays trailed 3-1 with two outs in the ninth, but Matt Chapman walked and Danny Jansen hit a homer over the Toronto bullpen in left-centerfield. The home run, his 11th of the season, came off Tigers closer Alex Lange, who finished Detroit's combined no-hitter with a perfect ninth inning on Saturday.

2/08/23 Better Know Your Blue Jays 40-man: Nathan Lukes. Nathan Lukes is a 28-year-old, left-handed hitting outfielder. The Blue Jays signed him as a minor league free agent at the end of November 2021. Nathan hasn't made it to the majors yet, but he's played 626 games in the minors, hitting .277/.340/.401. It was enough to have the team considering bringing him up to the majors, but that talk ended when we picked up Whit Merrifield.
