| 8/18/25 | Rangers Young Infielder an Intriguing Potential Offseason Trade Chip. The Texas Rangers caught fire ahead of the MLB trade deadline this year, which cemented the front office's choice of being buyers, looking to bolster the roster for a postseason push down the stretch. The Rangers entered deadline day with a 57-52 record and a few needs to address. The team didn't acquire any hitters and while the bullpen was upgraded with the additions of Danny Coulombe from the Minnesota Twins and Phil Maton from the St. Louis Cardinals, it wasn't the kind of splash to move the needle much. Texas did acquire the best starting pitcher on the move, Merrill Kelly, from the Arizona Diamondbacks to reinforce that strength. Source: https://www.si.com/mlb/rangers/news/rangers-young-... |
| 8/16/25 | Rangers Bullpen Had Another Disastrous Outing Against Blue Jays. The Texas Rangers now find themselves under .500 once again at 61-62. Closing out games has definitely proven to be their biggest issue, including a pair of their acquisitions at the trade deadline, Phil Maton and Danny Coulombe. Although those two haven't been the only issues lately, as Robert Garcia has not looked good in his last few outings. When Jacob deGrom stepped off the mound last night after his start against the Toronto Blue Jays the score was 3-0 in favor of the Rangers.
