Xavien Howard was released by the Miami Dolphins earlier this offseason, and the veteran cornerback recently made a comment on social media that could raise questions as he still finds himself without a team. Howard took to social media Saturday when the Dolphins posted pictures on Instagram of rookie running back Jaylen Wright wearing what used to be Howard's number 25. Howard's comment could be interpreted by some as wanting to return to South Florida. Wright was the Dolpins' only invitee to the National Football League Player's Assocation Rookie Premiere event in Los Angeles. 5/19/24	Dolphins Rumors: Tua Tagovailoa Got 'at Least 1 Contract Offer' amid Holdout in OTAs. The Miami Dolphins reportedly made quarterback Tua Tagovailoa at least one contract offer that was rejected as the two sides seek a long-term agreement. "He has missed some OTA time, I've confirmed, and really it could depend on how negotiations go with his contract as to whether he starts to show up or is there full time," ESPN's Jeremy Fowler said Sunday on SportsCenter. Tagovailoa is set to make $23.1 million next season in the final year of his rookie contract. The Miami Dolphins have yet to sign quarterback Tua Tagovailoa to a long-term deal, but they are reportedly planning to use bonuses to protect themselves in case he has a major injury while under contract. Per ESPN's Marcel Louis-Jacques, a contract advisor said bonuses that reward Tagovailoa while also protecting the team will be in play for his next deal.
