6/19/25 Seahawks announce date for joint practice with Packers before NFL preseason game. The Seattle Seahawks' joint practice date with the Green Bay Packers is set, marking the second straight season the team will participate in a competitive preseason practice against another team. Last season, it was one of the biggest adjustments Macdonald made to the training camp process. Green Bay will host Seattle for joint practice on Thursday, Aug. 21, ahead of the two teams' preseason game Saturday, Aug. 23.

6/19/25 Seahawks QB Sam Darnold shares how he plans to improve on his biggest weakness. Seattle Seahawks quarterback Sam Darnold is under a lot of pressure as the team's $100 million starter. Darnold got a huge contract raise after going 14-3 with the Minnesota Vikings in 2024, and the high dollar value brings on its fair share of concern. "I think being able to get the ball out a little bit quicker ... and even if a guy is covered, even if my back's covered on a checkdown, just throwing it at his feet," Darnold said via ESPN insider Brady Henderson. The Seahawks finished 10-7 last season with Geno Smith under center, but after he was traded to the Las Vegas Raiders, he has big shoes to fill.

6/19/25 Who's best Seahawks legend of the 21st Century?. The Seattle Seahawks haven't been the best team in the NFL in the last 25 years, but there has been a lot of football worth celebrating in the pacific northwest. ESPN created an All Quarter-Century team, celebrating the best players in the league over the last 25 years. The Seahawks had one offensive inductee on the list in offensive lineman Steve Hutchinson. "Hutchinson made the Pro Bowl every year from 2003 through 2009 and helped lead the 2005 Seahawks to Super Bowl XL, along with Walter Jones," ESPN's Aaron Schatz wrote.

6/18/25 Four Seahawks legends land on ESPN's All Quarter Century Team. The Seattle Seahawks' Legion of Boom defense has not been forgotten. Arguably the league's best defense since 2000, the LOB had some of the modern NFL's most talented defensive players who thrived in Pete Carroll's system.

6/18/25 Seahawks legend Richard Sherman charged with DUI following 2024 arrest. Legendary Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman has been charged with DUI following a February 2024 arrest, a spokesperson with the King County Prosecuting Attorney's Office told ESPN Tuesday. Just before 2 a.m. PT on Feb. 24, 2024, Sherman was pulled over after a Washington State Patrol officer allegedly clocked him going 79 mph in a 60 mph zone and veering in his lane. The officer reported that Sherman's eyes appeared to be bloodshot and watery, and noticed "the odor of intoxicants" on his breath. Sherman allegedly refused two breath tests - one at the scene and another at a WSP office - before being taken to the hospital for a blood draw.

6/17/25 NFL analyst names Seattle Seahawks' make-or-break-player for 2025 NFL season. If the Seattle Seahawks have any chance at making the playoffs this season, their offensive line has to take that next step. With a pressure-averse Sam Darnold taking over as the team's starting quarterback, Seattle must do a better job in pass protection. The Seahawks did little to upgrade their offensive line in free agency but used a first-round pick to draft North Dakota State's Grey Zabel.

6/17/25 Ernest Jones makes bold promise about Seahawks defense in 2025. The Seattle Seahawks' defense had a rollercoaster of a 2024 season. Several factors contributed to the mid-season turnaround, but the big one was the addition of linebacker Ernest Jones IV via a mid-season trade in late October. Jones, 25, came in and immediately took over the middle of Seattle's defense, posting 94 tackles in just 10 games. "I think it's going to be special," Jones said, per the team's website.

6/16/25 Seahawks sign Australian rookie offensive lineman. Three days after waiving former track star-turned-tight end Mitch Van Vooren , the Seattle Seahawks filled his roster spot with more offensive line depth, the team announced. The Seahawks signed Australian offensive tackle Luke Felix-Fualalo on Monday. Felix-Fualalo, an undrafted rookie out of the University of Hawaii, participated in Seattle's rookie minicamp in May. A prototypical 6-foot-7 offensive tackle, Felix-Fualalo is a slim 318 pounds, as listed by the team. Felix-Fualalo, 25, played six total college seasons . He appeared in just 11 games over three seasons at Utah from 2019-21 before transferring to Hawaii. In his three seasons at Hawaii from 2022-24, Felix-Fualalo appeared in 21 games

6/16/25 Mike Macdonald reveals Seahawks' new pecking order at wide receiver. For the last 10 years the Seattle Seahawks wide receiver room was led by some combination of Tyler Lockett, Doug Baldwin and DK Metcalf. If that's the case they certainly followed through on the instinct to break it all up and start over, because there's precious little leftover regarding last year's depth chart at wide receiver. Jaxon Smith-Njigba remains at the top, where he ascended to at some point in the middle of last season. Next, Cooper Kupp is the strong favorite to hold the team's WR2 role.

6/15/25 Boye Mafe explains how the Seahawks defense turned the corner last season. At their peak the Seattle Seahawks not only defined defensive excellence in the NFL, they influenced the way half the defenses around the league approached the game. By the end of Pete Carroll's run as head coach they'd had multiple seasons where they ranked somewhere between well-below average and one of the league's worst defensive teams. Mike Macdonald was hired a year and a half ago to turn that dynamic around and make Seattle a defensive powerhouse once again. While it turned out alright in the end, his first season on the job was a study in how difficult it is to maintain a high level of performance defensively during the twists and turns that each campaign brings.

6/14/25 Mike Macdonald on how Sam Darnold is settling in with Seahawks offense. It's not an exagerration at all to say that the Seattle Seahawks' 2025 season hingest largely on the performance of new quarterback Sam Darnold. The 28-year-old Darnold earned a three-year deal worth just over $100 million from the Seahawks this offseason after completing 66.2 percent of his passes for 4,319 yards, 35 touchdowns and 12 interceptions with the Minnesota Vikings last season. Before that, though, the former No. 3 overall pick had been a journeyman, and even a full-time backup with the San Francisco 49ers in 2023. The Seahawks need the good version of Darnold if their offense is going to thrive in 2025, but they also have to put him in a situation to succeed.

6/14/25 Ex-Seattle Seahawks WR: TE Elijah Arroyo 'just blew me away'. The top half of the Seattle Seahawks 2025 NFL Draft class didn't address the wide receiver position. “What I did see is a young man out there, a new draft pick, No. 18 – and I'm not used to the numbers yet,” Walters said Thursday on Seattle Sports' Wyman and Bob.

6/14/25 Will the Cardinals Pose a Threat to the Rams?. The Los Angeles Rams are looking to win the NFC West in back-to-back seasons next year, and one of the biggest question marks for them is how much better/worse the rest of their divisional rivals will be next year. The Seattle Seahawks offense may have more explosive plays with Sam Darnold at the helm, but they are a team that projects to get worse with the departure of key personnel in the off-season. On the other hand, the San Francisco 49ers are a team that projects to be even better next season, simply based on improved health.

6/13/25 Seahawks release former Marquette track star, NCAA Division III tight end. The Seattle Seahawks released an undrafted free agent on Friday who was one of the feel-good stories of the offseason. After working through the final week of organized team activities and mandatory minicamp with the team, tight end Mitch Van Vooren was let go. Just over a week after signing, Van Vooren, who was an NCAA Division I track star at Marquette before transferring to St. Norbert College (Division III) to play football, may have seen his NFL dreams come to an end.

6/13/25 Seahawks insider says defense 'far ahead' of new-look offense at minicamp. The Seattle Seahawks' defense is entering Year 2 under head coach Mike Macdonald with almost every starter returning from last season. The offense is working through its first practices with a new quarterback, wide receiver corps, offensive line (in some places), scheme and play caller. With voluntary organized team activities and mandatory minicamp complete, it's no surprise the defense is indeed "far ahead" of the offense, according to The Tacoma News Tribune's Gregg Bell. "Sam Darnold, Klint Kubiak have some work to do," Bell added.
