5/19/24 Here's Why Garett Bolles' Days as a Bronco Could be Numbered. The Denver Broncos have a few players with expiring contracts after the 2024 season. While the Broncos should be in a better position as far as the salary cap goes, they won't be able to keep everyone. In the coming weeks, I'm going to examine some of the Broncos players who are in the final year of their contracts and might be under consideration for a new deal. For each player, I will look at the arguments for and against extending the player, then consider what may matter the most to the Broncos when it comes to an extension.

5/19/24 Raiders' AFC West Opponent Schedule: Denver Broncos. The Las Vegas Raiders will look to get the best of their AFC West opponents in 2024. The Raiders went 4-2 against their division rivals last season, splitting with the Los Angeles Chargers and Kansas City Chiefs and sweeping the Denver Broncos. As we continue to evaluate the Raiders' AFC West opponent schedules, today, we conclude with the Broncos. The Broncos moved on from Russell Wilson this offseason, trading him to the Pittsburgh Steelers and selecting Oregon quarterback Bo Nix with the 12th overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.

5/18/24 Broncos' Bo Nix gets eye-opening review from Sean Payton ahead of rookie season. Eyebrows raised league-wide when the Denver Broncos selected Bo Nix with the No. 12 overall pick of the 2024 NFL Draft. Was the University of Oregon product really worthy of being anointed as a franchise quarterback at the next level? Broncos coach Sean Payton certainly thought so, and has seemingly grown even more confident in Nix as offseason activities ramp up. After just two full practices in minicamp, Payton lauded the rookie signal-caller for his ability to quickly process information and implement it on the field.

5/18/24 Raiders' record vs. new head coaches in Week 1 with Jim Harbaugh matchup looming. The release of the 2024 schedule revealed that the Las Vegas Raiders will open their campaign against the Los Angeles Chargers, a team that sports a new head coach in Jim Harbaugh, who is making the jump back to the NFL after several years at Michigan. This isn't the Raiders' first rodeo when it comes to facing a new head coach in the first week of the season. In fact, Las Vegas has had this situation a total of five times since the 2000 campaign. In those games, the Raiders are a perfect 5-0, with victories against Sean Payton and the Denver Broncos in 2023, Matt Rhule and the Carolina Panthers in 2020, Vic Fangio and the Broncos in 2019, John Fox and the Broncos in 2011, and then Dick Vermeil and the Kansas City Chiefs in 2001, according to Josh Dubow of the Associated Press.

5/17/24 Insider Exposes Truth Behind Fake Justin Simmons Rumor. The Denver Broncos shocked many fans by releasing Pro Bowl safety Justin Simmons back in March. The move saved the team $14.5 million in salary-cap space, which, along with several other moves, including the Jerry Jeudy trade, allowed the Broncos to become cap-compliant and weather the punitive impact of the Russell Wilson contract. The assumption was that Simmons wouldn't be a free agent for long, but despite being a four-time All-Pro (second team) and two-time Pro Bowler, the veteran safety has languished on the market. As we inch farther into the 2024 offseason, Simmons' continued availability has led to many Broncos fans wondering, and in many cases, hoping against hope that he might return to Denver.

5/17/24 Broncos 'very unlikely' to bring back former NFL interceptions leader. The Denver Broncos parted ways with safety Justin Simmons earlier this offseason, but even with his market appearing rather cool, a reunion doesn't seem to be in order.

5/16/24 Denver Broncos 2024 Draft class could be Sean Payton's foundation. When it comes to the foundation of the Denver Broncos going forward, the 2024 NFL rookie class could be the starting point that Sean Payton hopes to build on. Could Denver Broncos rookie class be foundation for Sean Payton? When Sean Payton took the head coaching gig for the Denver Broncos in 2023, he came into the mix right before the Super Bowl, in the middle of free agency meetings, and just a month and a half out from that draft. Denver's top picks were Marvin Mims Jr., who they traded up for in the second round, Drew Sanders, and Riley Moss as their two third-round selections.

5/14/24 Jets' Latest Nathaniel Hackett Drama a Recurring Nightmare for Broncos. When Denver Broncos CEO Greg Penner finally saw enough of Nathaniel Hackett as head coach, the damage had been done. Witnesses to the Broncos' abject 51-14 Christmas Day humiliation at the hands of the Los Angeles Rams could tell you the extent to which Hackett was so out of his depth. To a large extent, the Broncos are still mopping up behind Hackett, although it's now under the much more adult leadership of veteran head coach Sean Payton. Unquestionably, Hackett left behind deep organizational chaos in Denver, which has set the Broncos back considerably.

5/13/24 Predicting Broncos' 2024 Statistical Leaders: Defense. The Denver Broncos have made several changes to their defense through free agency and the draft that will shake up their roster. The departure of Justin Simmons will make things much more difficult in their secondary despite having Patrick Surtain ll, and there are still many questions about the defensive line and linebacker depth. Despite these uncertainties, there are still a few specific players who will have some major influence on Denver's defense, and I'll highlight which Broncos will lead the team in each major statistical category. Jonathon Cooper started all seventeen games for the Broncos last season, finishing with 8.5 sacks.
