6/19/25 | Ben Johnson's message of immediacy remains in place for Bears. It almost seems to have been a mandate from above or maybe just occurred from coach Ben Johnson setting the tone for the Bears very early. The "P" word seems to have vanished at Halas Hall and this might be the most refreshing change there since Matt Eberflus left for good on the day after last Thanksgiving. The Bears forever have preached patience whether it comes to training quarterbacks or their inept offenses, and pleaded for patience from fans. It was less than a year ago when the last person who should ever be asking for patience did so, and that was team owner George McCaskey. 6/18/25 | Thumbs up or thumbs down on Chicago Bears offseason experiments. A major point of coaches when the Ben Johnson era began was how they would explore all possibilities with players during on-field work in the offseason. The OTAs are over and that should be the end of experimenting because they have games to focus on and an offense and defense to have down perfectly when they get to training camp. The idea was floated of moving Wright from right to left tackle, turning him to Darnell left rather than Darnell right so to speak. The surgery Braxton Jones is healing from was the idea behind this, but the Bears put Ozzy Trapilo and Kiran Amegadjie at left tackle to battle and left it at that. 6/17/25 | Unlikely Chicago Bears breakout candidate garnering support. Bears coach Ben Johnson indicated at the end of mandatory minicamp how edge rusher Dominique Robinson had surprised with his quick first steps as a pass rusher. The Bears badly need the third edge pass rusher to step up and complement Montez Sweat and Dayo Odeyingbo. Robinson has had three seasons to show this ability without success and is in the last year of his contract, but there's someone else who has gathered some offseason attention. Fox Sports' David Helman, instead, is labeling Robinson's competition as the top Bears breakout candidate in an article naming a breakout candidate for every team.
