6/22/25 Andrew Abbott, Reds halt Cardinals' win streak at five. Andrew Abbott was effective through seven innings, Matt McLain homered and the visiting Cincinnati Reds snapped a three-game losing streak with a 4-1 win against the St. Louis Cardinals on Sunday. Abbott (7-1) allowed one run on three hits and struck out three in his third quality start over his past five outings. Emilio Pagan tossed a perfect ninth for his 18th save. The Reds are the only team in the majors who have yet to be swept this season.

6/11/25 Cincinnati Reds' Left-Hander Creates Team History Not Seen in More Than a Decade. Cincinnati Reds left-hander Andrew Abbott made some incredible team history on Tuesday night as he tossed a complete-game shutout against the Cleveland Guardians. The Reds won the game 1-0 to move to 35-33 on the season. According to Sarah Langs of MLB.com, Abbott is just the third Reds' pitcher since 2000 to toss a complete-game shutout in a 1-0 win.

Andrew Abbott pitched a three-hitter for his first career complete game and Spencer Steer had an RBI single in the fifth inning, lifting the Cincinnati Reds to a 1-0 victory over the Cleveland Guardians on Tuesday night. Abbott (6-1) struck out five and walked one in a 110-pitch gem, bouncing back from his first loss on June 4 against Milwaukee. 6/09/25 Jose Ramirez, skidding Guardians take another crack at Reds. The Cleveland Guardians are two weeks into a slump that shows no signs of ending, dropping nine of their past 14 games. Jose Ramirez extended his on-base streak to 35 games on Monday in a 7-4 loss to the visiting Cincinnati Reds, giving him hits in 30 of 31 contests and a major-league-high 48 total hits since May 6. The six-time All-Star third baseman will seek to extend that career-best run Tuesday against Reds left-hander Andrew Abbott (5-1, 2.18 ERA). The 25-year-old left-handed gave up four hits and one earned run across 6.0 innings versus the Chicago White Sox, racking up seven strikeouts along the way. The Reds were held off the board entirely until the ninth inning, however, and the White Sox stole the win with a four-run 10th.
