The Milwaukee Brewers lost to the host Nationals, 3-2, on Wednesday in a game that ended with Washington scoring a pair of runs in the bottom of the ninth inning thanks to a throwing error by Brewers third baseman Andruw Monasterio. 8/02/23 Brewers beat Nationals to end slide. While we're a long way from end of season magic numbers, the Milwaukee Brewers magic number last night in Washington was 4. The Crew put up four runs in the fourth inning to snap a four game slide as they beat the Nationals 6-4. Andruw Monasterio got the Brewers on the board with an RBI single in the top of the second but Washington answered with a three spot against starter Freddy Peralta in the bottom half. C.J. Abrams had a key, two run single. Milwaukee then put together it's rally capped by two out, two run singles from Brice Turang and Joey Wiemer for a 5-3 lead. 7/16/23 Brewers rally to beat Reds 4-3, open 2-game NL Central lead. The Milwaukee Brewers opened a two-game lead over Cincinnati in the NL Central, overcoming a two-run deficit to beat the Reds for the fifth time in a six-game stretch, a 4-3 victory Sunday behind rookie Andruw Monasterio's tiebreaking single in a two-run eighth inning. After taking two of three at home on the weekend before the All-Star break, the Brewers swept three games at the Reds.

7/04/23 Outs At Home Plate Cost Brewers in 7-6 Loss to Cubs in 11 Innings. The Milwaukee Brewers almost made it two days in a row with exceptional comebacks, but unfortunately they fell short and lost to the Chicago Cubs 7-6 in eleven innings on the Fourth of July. The Brewers were down 4-0 and 6-2 in Tuesday's game, but scored two runs in the eighth and ninth innings to tie the game at six. Neither team scored in the tenth inning, as Andruw Monasterio was thrown out at the plate trying to score the winning run for Milwaukee. The Cubs scratched a run across on a single in the top of the eleventh against Brewers reliever Clayton Andrews.

6/05/23 Reds lose first 3 in home series with Milwaukee. After winning 5 straight, the Cincinnati Reds have hit a bit of a rough patch, losing 4 in a row, including the first three of their series with the Milwaukee Brewers over the weekend. On Friday, the Reds lost in 11 innings 5-4, thanks to Brian Anderson and Andruw Monasterio scoring on fielder's choices in separate at-bats. Jonathan India went 1-3 with a home run and 2 RBI. Fernando Cruz took the loss in relief for Cincinnati.

6/02/23 Brewers come up clutch to beat Reds in 11. Andruw Monasterio made a key diving stop of a sharp grounder in extra innings and Milwaukee pitching held Cincinnati batters to three hits over 11 innings as the visiting Brewers edged the Reds 5-4 on Friday before a record crowd. The Brewers loaded the bases in the 10th with two outs, but reliever Fernando Cruz (1-1) worked out of it.

5/27/23 Willy Adames released from hospital, placed on concussion IL but is 'in very good spirits'. The Brewers shortstop went on the concussion IL on Saturday but otherwise was doing well. Andruw Monasterio was recalled to add shortstop depth.

11/12/21 Brewers Sign RHP Hobie Harris and INF Andruw Monasterio to Minor League Contracts. The Brewers signed two non-roster invitees, righthanded pitcher Hobie Harris and infielder Andruw Monasterio, to minor league contracts this week. RHP Hobie Harris, 28, is the second reliever the Brewers have signed this offseason. Harris’ strongest pitch on its own merits is his fastball, which touches 99 and regularly sits in the mid-90s.
