But the Broncos balked at his $10 million asking price. When the Las Vegas Raiders started quarterback Jarrett Stidham for the final two games of the 2022 season, it was part of the NFL team's plan to part ways with QB Derek Carr in the offseason. 1/03/24	Let's Fix This Mess Mock Draft. Welp, turns out Russ isn't much of a cook. When it's all said and done the Broncos will have paid Russ $142M for 11 total wins. That my friends is one of the worst contracts in NFL history and it's going to hamstring us for a couple of years. Add to that the draft picks we spent to get Russ and Sean Payton and we have extremely limited draft capital. But the situation isn't as dire as it seems. We have a decent roster that somehow pulled off quality wins against the Chiefs and Bills. All we really need to do is find our guy at QB and add some talent. I strongly believe the Broncos will start Jarrett Stidham next year, but that doesn't mean we aren't going to draft a QB.
