That's how long ago he hurt his shoulder on the first play of his first preseason game with the Chiefs last year. Sure, the fleet-footed pass catcher nicknamed “Hollywood” made it back for a couple of games late last season, and he was on the field for a playoff run that culminated in a lopsided Super Bowl loss to Philadelphia. That leaves them with second-year pro Xavier Worthy, veteran JuJu Smith-Schuster and unheralded Nikko Remigio, Tyquan Thornton and Jason Brownlee on their wide receiver depth chart.

8/14/25 Chiefs' Andy Reid Offers Positive Hollywood Brown Injury Update. The Kansas City Chiefs' receiver room has been beaten up over the course of training camp, but it appears that clearer skies could be on the horizon. With the biggest name being Marquise Brown, who is dealing with a foot/ankle injury, the receiver who saw the majority of his 2025 season be wiped out due to injury, so it isn't ideal that he is again sidelined. Given that the Chiefs were playing the cautious game with No. 5, it now appears that things are traveling in the right direction for Brown, to the extent that head coach Andy Reid has offered up a rather positive update on his receiver's progress.
