5/14/24 Daulton Varsho's glove and bat lift Blue Jays to a 3-2 win over Orioles in 10 innings. Daulton Varsho robbed a homer with his glove, hit one with his bat and then drove in the go-ahead run in the top of the 10th inning with a groundball to lift the Toronto Blue Jays to a 3-2 win over the Baltimore Orioles. The Blue Jays overcame two home runs by Adley Rutschman, tying the game on Varsho’s solo shot in the eighth and then prevailing in extra innings. With men on first and third and one out, Varsho’s grounder was fielded by diving second baseman Jorge Mateo. The Orioles — who had already turned three double plays to get out of significant jams — had no chance to pull off another.

5/04/24 Nationals aim to follow up 'electric' win in rematch vs. Jays. The Washington Nationals started hitting late on Friday and will look to carry that momentum into Saturday afternoon's game against the visiting Toronto Blue Jays. The Nationals came back in the opener of the three-game series Friday night with a four-run seventh inning, highlighted by a pinch-hit, three-run homer by Luis Garcia Jr. Washington added four runs in the eighth en route to a 9-3 victory for its sixth win in the last eight games. The Blue Jays continued to struggle offensively, scoring all of their runs in the second inning, two on Daulton Varsho's double. The Nationals are scheduled to start right-hander Jake Irvin (2-2, 4.28 ERA) on Saturday to try to clinch the series.

5/02/24 New Rogers Centre dimensions following renovations have changed how it plays. Daulton Varsho loves to go all out when tracking down a fly ball but the new smaller foul areas at Rogers Centre have him being a little more cautious. The Toronto Blue Jays completed the second phase of $400 million renovations to their downtown ballpark in the off-season, with the changes designed to improve the fan and player experience as the stadium becomes a baseball-specific venue. Part of shrinking the foul territory was building higher walls in the outfield parallel to the first- and third-base lines.

4/28/24 Alejandro Kirk's first homer of the year lifts Blue Jays over Dodgers 3-1. Kirk went 3 for 3 at the plate and hit his first home run of the season to lead the Toronto Blue Jays past the Los Angeles Dodgers 3-1 on Sunday to snap a five-game losing skid. “To tell you the truth, I didn't even know I was going 0 for 11,” explained Kirk through a translator. Daulton Varsho and Isiah Kiner-Falefa had back-to-back groundouts in the second inning to score runners for Toronto (14-15) before Kirk hit his first homer of the season 381 feet.

4/22/24 Blue Jays, facing Royals, seek fifth straight series win. The Toronto Blue Jays have won four straight series as they travel to Kansas City to open a four-game set with the Royals starting Monday evening. The Blue Jays have ridden Daulton Varsho's power in winning six of their past eight games. Varsho has accounted for 10 of Toronto's 35 runs in that span. "I'm having a better understanding of where my swing's at and not missing my pitch when it's there, and having a better plan," Varsho said after delivering a three-run homer to lead Toronto past San Diego on Saturday.

4/20/24 Michael Kay seemingly insinuates Blue Jays are cheating at home: 'Completely different team'. Fans were eating up every bit of Michael Kay's voiced suspicions over the Blue Jays' series win, accusing him of seemingly saying that the Yankees lost to cheaters. The YES network broadcaster has been accused of insinuating the rival team was cheating during the series as they looked like a “completely different team.” The first three-game series between the two teams came in early April this season in which the Yankees took two of three. 4 Blue Jays left fielder Daulton Varsho (25) hits a home run and celebrates with first base Vladimir Guerrero Jr. (27) against the New York Yankees. 4/04/24 Rogers Centre got a facelift but the Blue Jays didn't. Mark Shapiro has been focused on the wrong renovations. One second-inning double from Daulton Varsho was all the Jays could muster in an 8-0 loss to the Astros on Wednesday in which they were outhit 15-1. Actually, the Blue Jays president never got around to talking real baseball in a Thursday morning conclave with media (no questions permitted), with reporters subsequently led through a ta-da tour of the facility. The ongoing work necessitated a 10-game road trip to start a campaign that has been bumpety-bumpety out of the chute, through Tampa and Houston, and unlikely to get any smoother when the Jays venture into the Bronx Friday, hosted by the 6-1 Yankees.
