5/31/25 Washington's first 11 batters reach base in 10-run first inning vs. Diamondbacks. The Washington Nationals had their first 11 batters reach base during a 10-run first inning against the Arizona Diamondbacks on Saturday night. The Boston Red Sox scored 10 runs before the Florida Marlins got an out in a game on June 27, 2003, according to Elias Sports. Luis Garcia Jr. had a double, fielder's choice and three RBIs as the Nationals sent 16 batters to the plate.

5/18/25 Orioles lose to Nationals 10-6 after firing manager Brandon Hyde. BALTIMORE (AP) — Luis Garcia Jr. had two RBIs to fuel a six-run first inning and the Washington Nationals defeated Baltimore 10-6 on Saturday, hours after the Orioles fired manager Brandon Hyde. Hyde guided Baltimore into the postseason in 2023 and 2024, but this year the Orioles started 15-28 and were mired in last place in the AL East when general manager Mike Elias decided to make a change. It didn't help Saturday. In the top of the first inning, Nationals leadoff hitter CJ Abrams hustled to second base on a routine single, Orioles center fielder Cedric

5/17/25 Orioles' managerial change doesn't prevent another Nationals win. May 17 - Luis Garcia Jr. drove in three runs as the visiting Washington Nationals won 10-6 on Saturday against the beleaguered Baltimore Orioles, who made a managerial change earlier in the day. Playing a few hours after announcing that seventh-year boss Brandon Hyde was out as manager, the Orioles did not see any immediate benefit as they trailed by six runs after the first inning and didn't get any closer until the seventh. Nathaniel Lowe and Keibert Ruiz knocked in two runs apiece while Garcia and Jacob Young each had two hits for the Nationals, who built off Friday night's 4-3 comeback victory in what served as Hyde's final game. Third-base coach Tony Monsolino was installed as interim manager
