4/27/25 | Mets pitchers blow six-run lead as Nationals walk it off in ninth. This game looked like it was over as soon as it began, with the Mets batting around the lineup and scoring five runs in the first inning. Entering the game in relief of starter Megill, who left the game after allowing a run to score in the seventh, and inheriting a runner on first, Butto allowed consecutive two-out singles to allow another run to score. Then, a three-run home run by Washington Nationals catcher Riley Adams, his first of the season, cut the Mets' lead from 7-3 to 7-6. Source: https://www.nj.com/mets/2025/04/mets-pitchers-blow... |

Mitchell Parker (2-0) allowed one run, two hits and four walks over six innings and Kyle Finnegan got his second save, giving up Thomas' RBI single.
