6/21/25 | Cardinals' Ivan Herrera's MRI Results, Return Timeline Revealed. The St. Louis Cardinals got some bittersweet news on Friday. After a lot of buzz, St. Louis called up infielder Thomas Saggese on Friday. The club announced on Friday that they were calling up Thomas Saggese and placing Herrera on the 10-Day Injured List due to a left hamstring strain. MLB.com's John Denton shared that an MRI revealed a Grade 2 strain for Herrera that will require him to miss anywhere between two to six weeks. Ahead of the St. Louis Cardinals' series against the Cincinnati Reds, the Cardinals announced some bad news for one of their best players. With the Cardinals' offense needing pop, one of their best sluggers is now on the injured list. Ivan Herrera had two hits and four RBIs, Brendan Donovan went 4-for-5 with a solo home run and Matthew Liberatore pitched six strong innings as the St. Louis Cardinals routed the host Chicago White Sox 12-2 on Tuesday. St. Louis has won two of three on the heels of a six-game losing streak. The White Sox lost their sixth straight, the club's third skid of at least that many games this season. 6/05/25 | Cardinals beat Royals 6-5 in 10 innings. ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KFVS) -The St. Louis Cardinals rallied to beat the Kansas City Royals 6-5 in 10 innings Thursday at Busch Stadium. The Cardinals took a 4-3 lead in the bottom of the 8th on an Ivan Herrera 2-run homer. Kansas City tied the game in the top of the 9th and then took a 5-4 lead in the 10th inning. St. Louis rallied in the bottom of the 10th and won it on a Willson Contreras single scoring Lars Nootbaar for the 6-5 win.
