4/29/25 | Twins rout Guardians, win 4th straight. The Minnesota Twins are playing their best baseball of the season currently. It may be young in the 2025 campaign, but the Twins have won their last four games, and six of their last seven. In last nights game against Cleveland, the Twins got the scoring going from the jump scoring two runs in the first and second inning. They would go on to score two more in the fifth, three in the sixth and two in the eighth on their way to the 11-1 rout. Bailey Ober was credited the win, his third of the season. The Twins mainly did it with small-ball, getting their lone homerun from Edouard Julien. The Twins will look to make it five in a row this evening in game two of their series with the Guardians. MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Bailey Ober worked six strong innings to win his second straight start, Trevor Larnach hit a two-run homer and Byron Buxton made a diving catch to end the game and seal the Minnesota Twins' 4-2 win over the Chicago White Sox on Tuesday night. The White Sox loaded the bases in the ninth inning on an infield single and two walks off Twins closer Jhoan Duran. But the 27-year-old right-hander allowed just one run and earned his second save in as many chances when center fielder Buxton made a leaping, game-saving catch at the warning track in right-center on a liner by Andrew Benintendi with runners at second and third.
