Coming off the worst season in Chicago White Sox history, former Cal star Andrew Vaughn said his goals for spring training include keeping things simple and moving forward from the disaster that was 2024. The White Sox have agreed to terms on one-year contracts with four players Thursday, avoiding arbitration with first baseman Andrew Vaughn and right-handers Justin Anderson, Penn Murfee and Steven Wilson. Vaughn signed for $5.85 million, Anderson for $900,000, Wilson for $950,000 and Murfee for $780,000. The Sox have agreed to terms with all their arbitration-eligible players for 2025. Bleacher Report listed the top 25 trade chips in baseball heading into this offseason and had Chicago White Sox first baseman Andrew Vaughn at No. 24. The White Sox first baseman hit 19 home runs and slashed 246/.297/.402 in 2024.
