6/15/25 Texas Rangers follow familiar route in giving Josh Jung a chance to get back in sync. Texas Rangers third baseman Josh Jung was given a “mental day” and did not play Sunday's series finale vs. the Chicago White Sox at Globe Life Field. Jung had been one of Texas' most productive hitters in the season's first two months but slashed just .172/.238/.207 in 15 games prior to Sunday.

6/07/25 Texas Rangers Select Another San Antonio Star in Latest MLB Mock Draft. In the 2019 MLB draft, the Texas Rangers selected Texas Tech third baseman Josh Jung. But he also has San Antonio roots. Jung went to MacArthur High School in San Antonio before he started his collegiate career with the Red Raiders. His younger brother, Detroit Tigers infielder Jace Jung, followed in his brother's footsteps. Jung has worked out for the Rangers. He's overcome several injuries to become an everyday player for Texas and was part of the 2023 World Series run as a rookie. This season, as the Texas offense remains struck in neutral, Jung has been one of the few consistently productive players. 5/30/25 Watch: Texas Tech's Grant McCasland throws first pitch at Texas Rangers-Cardinals game. To celebrate Texas Tech Night at Globe Life Field, Red Raiders basketball coach Grant McCasland threw out the first pitch ahead of the Texas Rangers' matchup with the Cardinals. McCasland wasn't the only Red Raider involved in the first pitch as Rangers third baseman and former Texas Tech star Josh Jung caught the pitch.

5/27/25 Put in an early pitching pinch, Texas Rangers bullpen answers bell to beat Blue Jays. The Texas Rangers, by way of their own flaws and failures, have lost a few games that they'd certainly classify as winnable opportunities in recent weeks. “A lot of games this year,” third baseman Josh Jung interrupted for the sake of accuracy, “actually.” OK, fair, the Rangers have lost a lot of games that they could've won this year because their bottom-five offense has not matched their top-five pitching. It's a hapless and hopeless cycle that the Rangers have found themselves stuck in.

5/16/25 Why Texas, along with Rangers-Astros rivalry, is integral to history, future of baseball. Josh Jung is Texas through-and-through. Jung, the Texas Rangers third baseman, can vividly and painfully recall the three-and-a-half hour drive he and his family would make nearly every weekend from his San Antonio home to Houston to play travel baseball. Between them, Jung said, the family would spend every weekend of every month there.
