At the Saturday night 21-0 embarrassment against San Diego that Mr. Diamond cites, casual observation showed that about half of the attendees were wearing Padres gear. This is the Rockies' business plan: Come to the ballpark, all you late arrivals to the Colorado Front Range, and cheer for the team you loved in the area you were priced out of.
