9/14/25 Angels’ shortstop Zach Neto still out of the lineup with hand injury. Neto, who was not in the starting lineup for a third straight game on Sunday, continues to be bothered by a hand injury he first suffered on Aug. 20. The length of time he's dealt with the injury raises the question of whether it'll be an issue for the last two weeks of the season.

9/09/25 Last Night in Baseball: There Has Not Been a No-Hitter in 2025... Yet. Two more near no-hitters, the Padres walk it off, Zach Neto makes a ridiculous catch you have to see, and more from Monday's MLB action.

9/07/25 Angels give slumping shortstop Zach Neto a break. Neto is in a 3-for-34 slump, so the Angels give him a day out of the starting lineup. It is the first time that Neto starts a game on the bench since June 29.

9/05/25 Angels' Core Roster Named Among Worst in MLB. ESPN's Kiley McDaniel ranked the Los Angeles Angels' core roster 28th in MLB, only ahead of the Chicago White Sox and Colorado Rockies. McDaniel didn't place any Halos in his "elite" tier of players, in which he placed perennial All-Stars with MVP chances, and only placed shortstop Zach Neto and starting pitcher Jose Soriano in his "plus" tier, which is reserved for players he describes as "3-5ish WAR types." "Soriano, [Reid] Detmers, [Tyler] Bremner, [George] Klassen, and [Caden] Dana are five solid pitchers to build around, along with veteran [Yusei] Kikuchi, but it's unlikely all of them pitch on the same staff," wrote McDaniel. Taylor Ward's under contract through next year so he falls off the list.
