The Los Angeles Dodgers tapping into their organizational depth at various points throughout the 2023 season included calling up Nick Robertson from Triple-A Oklahoma City in early June. 12/30/23 2023 Dodgers in review: Nick Robertson. A sterling performance in the high-scoring Pacific Coast League earned Nick Robertson his first trip to the majors. Robertson was drafted by the Dodgers in the seventh round in 2019 out of James Madison, and in 2022 he reached Triple-A in Oklahoma City. Being an NRI pitcher at Camelback Ranch proved fruitful, as 10 of the 16 non-roster arms in camp ended up pitching in the majors for Los Angeles during the season. The Dodgers called up Robertson on June 6 after a strong start in Triple-A. In all with Oklahoma City, Robertson had a 2.54 ERA in 28? innings, with 42 strikeouts (a 37.5-percent rate) and nine walks in his 15 appearances.

12/14/23 2023 Dodgers in review: Kiké Hernández. Boston was not kind to Kiké Hernández, who was batting .222 with an OPS of .599 at the trade deadline. Acquired at the trade deadline for pitchers Nick Robertson and Justin Hagenman, Hernández delivered on that expectation throughout the second half of the season, turning his year around and showing that he needed the Dodgers just as much. The Dodgers faced left-handed pitchers in seven of 10 games since his activation on July 26, and he and fellow newcomer Amed Rosario combined for 14 RBI in week 19 of the season.
