| 4/28/24 | IronPigs' topsy-turvy first month capped by disappointing home loss. Weston Wilson's season so far could be summed up with two plays in this week's home series against Charlotte. The first one came in the third inning Thursday when Wilson hit a grounder down the first-base line that was ruled foul. Wilson's grounder to short with two outs and the bases loaded in the bottom of the 10th Sunday afternoon was flipped to second base for the final out in a 6-3 loss even though Lehigh Valley teammate Scott Kingery beat the throw. The Phillies didn't have their prettiest pitching performance on Saturday, allowing 13 runs in their first Grapefruit League game this season, but they still managed to eke out a 14-13 win over Toronto with the help of a 10-run fifth inning. Weston Wilson, Scott Kingery, and Matt Kroon hit home runs. Five Phillies — Wilson, Kingery, catcher Aramis Garcia, infielder Kody Clemens, and center fielder Johan Rojas — recorded multi-hit games. | 11/20/23 | Yamamoto still a wise move in addition to Nola. Bring up Derrick Hall and Weston Wilson to replace Swarber at DH. This would give the Phillies more flexibility at first base when they want to give Harper a day off or move him to DH without losing defense. Maybe not on the level of what happened when Orion Kerkering did to his father upon his promotion, but before Kerkering's dad, there was Wilson's dad. Oh, and Wilson is a pretty good baseball player.
