Martinez , the team announced this morning. Martinez, an international free agent signing out of Cuba by the Rangers in 2018, debuted last season for Texas, batting .225 in 17 games. Martinez climbed from High-A Hickory all the way to AAA Round Rock last season, batting .297/.425/.538 with 14 homers and 41 stolen bases in 82 games, being named an organizational All-Star by MiLB.com.
