6/30/25 | Bird Watching. Something that's very surprising about the Colorado Rockies, even as they continue to tank in their quest for a twentieth win before July 1st, is that as awful as both their starting pitching and hitting is...the bullpen's honestly pretty good. The majority of top of the leaderboard is just relievers right now. Hunter Goodman, Ryan McMahon, Jordan Beck and some relievers. And that may be the reason the Rockies might not be a lock for the 'worst ever' status anymore, because as bad as they are, for like 3 or 4 innings per game they're not bleeding as badly. Like, my guess is the Rockies' ASG nod will be Jake Bird this year, because statistically he's the best player on the team. 6/24/25 | Rockies Catcher Holding Strong in Current All-Star Voting. Major League Baseball released updated All-Star Game voting on Monday and featured a Colorado Rockies player in the Top 5 at one position. Catcher Hunter Goodman, who has been hitting phenomenally of late, is fifth in voting. Phase one of All-Star voting comes to a close at the end of the week. The top two at each position will move onto phase two to determine who the starter will be in the All-Star Game, with the exception of outfielders. 6/22/25 | Colorado Rockies Top Five Prospect's Hot Hitting Could Expedite MLB Call-Up. The Colorado Rockies have had a tough go of things for a few seasons now, but there has always at least been the hope that their farm system will come through eventually and supplement the roster with fresh talent. There have been some early examples of this being the case, too, with Hunter Goodman and Ezequiel Tovar both turning into productive players. One player who is really turning heads is 2019 international free agent Yanquiel Fernández, who has been absolutely tearing up each level of the minor leagues and now looks comfortable at Triple-A Albuquerque. MLB Pipeline has him ranked as the No. 5 prospect in the Rockies system, and believes his ETA at the Major League level is set for this season. 6/19/25 | Rockies Young Catcher Has Been Among the Best in the National League This Season. The Colorado Rockies have had a difficult season through the first few months; that much is clear. With a 17-57 record to their name through June 18, they are definitively the worst team in the MLB record-wise at the moment, and when looking over the roster, it is relatively easy to understand why. One such player is catcher Hunter Goodman, who, after two seasons of slightly below average play, has found his stride and has rapidly become one of the keys to the future for the Rockies. The biggest jump in his game has come in his efficiency, where he is currently slashing .285/.326/.522 through 71 games, as opposed to sitting right around the Mendoza Line the last two seasons. 6/18/25 | Goodman, Moniak homer in the 9th to help Rockies to 6-4 victory over the Nationals. WASHINGTON | Hunter Goodman homered twice, including a tying shot in the ninth inning, and then Mickey Moniak connected for a two-run drive that gave the Colorado Rockies a 6-4 victory over the skidding Washington Nationals on Monday night. Colorado entered with 57 losses this season, tied with the 1932 Boston Red Sox for the most in the modern era (since 1901) through 71 games. Both the Rockies and Red Sox won their 72nd game.
