7/13/25 | Will NY Giants Receivers Be More Productive in 2025 Thanks to Quarterback Room Makeover?. The New York Giants learned one harsh truth about their wide receiver room last season. While it gave the Giants fans something to be excited about when the franchise selected LSU product Malik Nabers at No. 6 overall in the NFL Draft to hand them their first true top receiving option since Odell Beckham Jr, the idea of him being the workhorse of the passing attack only went so far. New York finished the 2024 season ranked 29th, according to Pro Football Focus, a noticeable drop from the 25th-ranked placement it earned the previous year. A lackluster group of quarterbacks who couldn't push the pigskin served as an extra impediment to the Giants' success. Source: https://www.si.com/nfl/giants/big-blue-plus/will-n... |

7/11/25 | NY Giants WR Malik Nabers Picked as “Player to Root For” for This Reason . If there's one member of the New York Giants who doesn't have to worry about having the fan base coaxed to root for him, that would be receiver Malik Nabers, who is NFL.com writer Tom Blair's choice from among the Big Blue roster to root for among the NFC teams this coming season. Interestingly, though, Blair's reasoning isn't quite what you'd expect it to be. Rather than take the approach of rooting for an underdog or a player on the bubble to find success this coming season, Blair's selection of Nabers has more to do with what he and perhaps legions of Giants fans do not want to see happen to the receiver in 2025. “What I definitely do not want is for Nabers to become yet another talented receiver whose ultimate ceiling is shrouded by a forgettable quarterback and surrounding cast,” Blair wrote. 7/10/25 | NY Giants' ILBs Fall in Middle of the Pack in New Ranking. Despite the questions swirling around the quarterback room and the excitement that second-year wide receiver Malik Nabers inspires from the fan base, a fierce-looking defense is arguably the main attraction on the 2025 New York Giants. Specifically, a stout defensive line led by Dexter Lawrence II, Brian Burns, and rookie Abdul Carter is drawing substantial praise from Pro Football Focus, which ranked the unit third-best in the entire NFL, reinforcing the expectation that a relentless pass rush will define this squad. When ranking the league's linebackers units, PFF's Dalton Wasserman slotted the Giants' group at No. 19, pointing to the struggles Micah McFadden had in coverage and an average 61.0 run defense grade, while also acknowledging Bobby Okereke's 81.3 overall grade over the past two seasons that put him 10th among qualified linebackers.
