5/09/24 Yankees' Giancarlo Stanton is still baseball's exit velocity king: 'He's a unicorn'. Unless this core wins a championship over the next few years, it'll be hard not to look back at Giancarlo Stanton's tenure with the Yankees as a disappointment. Heck, some fans may be at the point where the slugger has done irreparable damage with all the stints on the injured list and his mind-numbing slumps.

4/30/24 Time to move on? Yankees veteran is 'not a baseball player,' host says. Yankees designated hitter Giancarlo Stanton has six home runs but he has been a liability on the basepaths. AP By Jimmy Hascup | NJ Advance Media for NJ.com A thinner Giancarlo Stanton can still hit the ball hard — the jury is still out on his durability — but his new physique has done little to improve his athleticism and speed. The New York Yankees' 2-0 loss to the Baltimore Orioles on Tuesday night provided yet another example when he was thrown out at second base after Austin Wells hit a ball to right field that fell in. Even though Stanton had to freeze to ensure the ball wasn't caught, the out robbed Wells of a hit and the Yankees of a two-on, one-out threat with the Orioles leading 1-0

4/29/24 Giancarlo Stanton's comical lack of speed takes away hit from Yankees' teammate. It has been well-documented that New York Yankees designated hitter Giancarlo Stanton isn't for his swiftness on the base paths. After Stanton drew a walk against Orioles starter Grayson Rodriguez in the top of the sixth inning, catcher Austin Wells hit a flare that would have been a base hit in any other circumstance.

4/16/24 MLB fans erupt watching Yankees' Giancarlo Stanton chug around the bases. New York Yankees DH Giancarlo Stanton isn't exactly known for his speed, and that was on full display Tuesday night against the Toronto Blue Jays. After Stanton reached base via error to being the top of the second inning, he reached second base with two outs. Catcher Jose Trevino hit a hard line drive to left field, taking one hop before reaching outfielder Davis Schneider. Yankees third base coach Luis Rojas must have been feeling frisky because he sent Stanton home despite it appearing he had a trailer hitched to his back. 4/04/24 Giancarlo Stanton off to painful start for Yankees, and MLB fans are noticing. The New York Yankees have gotten off to a near-perfect start for the 2024 MLB season, but it has been quite the opposite for Giancarlo Stanton. The former NL MVP has been a shell of himself for the better part of the last calendar year. Logging a paltry .191 average and .695 OPS during the 2023 season, there was some hope Stanton would turn things around after a promising Spring Training. Stanton, the Yankees' full-time DH, is 3-for-20 with 11 strikeouts in 21 plate appearances.
