| 8/05/25 | Ridiculous Liam Hendriks injury miscommunication sums up Red Sox dysfunction. The Boston Red Sox on August 3 gave injury updates on two recovering pitchers, Liam Hendriks and Patrick Sandoval. Alex Cora's report on Hendriks was quickly debunked, however. The reliever spoke to reporters before Boston's August 4 series opening game against the Royals and cleared the air around his lingering injury. | 8/04/25 | Liam Hendriks clears the air on injury — and 'frustrating' season with Red Sox. Considering he hasn't pitched since May 27, it was not necessarily a surprise Sunday to hear Alex Cora say that the Red Sox aren't confident reliever Liam Hendriks will pitch again in 2025. Speaking on the Fenway Park field Monday, Hendriks — who has been limited to just 14 appearances over two years in Boston due to various injuries — said he fully intends to return by the end of the season and characterized Cora's update as a “slip of the tongue.” Source: https://www.masslive.com/redsox/2025/08/liam-hendr... |
