Yankees vice president of baseball operations Tim Naehring thinks so. Agustín Ramírez, another Dominican catcher, is drawing the comparison. “It's amazing how when you watch him play there's a lot of similarities in the box to how he finishes and how he looks to Gary Sánchez,” Naehring said, via Gary Phillips of the New York Daily News.

2/21/24 Report: Brewers & Former All-Star Catcher Gary Sanchez Finalizing Deal Following Injury Concerns. MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU) – The Milwaukee Brewers and catcher Gary Sanchez are reportedly closing in on agreeing to a new deal after injury concerns put their previous deal in jeopardy. According to Ken Rosenthal of the Athletic, the Brewers reportedly had concerns about Sanchez's wrist, which he fractured last season after being hit by a pitch. Rosenthal further noted that Sanchez will still be able to make up to $7 million, but some of it will depend on how well his wrist holds up.
