6/21/25 Struggling Mets offense hits back-to-back-to-back home runs vs. Phillies. The New York Mets offense, which scored just seven runs in the last five games during a seven-game losing streak, broke out in a big way early in a nationally-televised showdown against the Phillies Saturday night. Franciso Lindor, Brandon Nimmo and Juan Soto hit home runs on consecutive at-bats against Phillies rookie Mick Abel to start the third inning. The back-to-back-to-back home runs erased a 3-1 deficit and gave the Mets a 4-3 lead.

6/16/25 Mets have questions coming into 10-game division stretch. Coming off the first sweep of the season, Brandon Nimmo said it best. “I don't care what their record says,” the Mets' team leader said Sunday. The Mets have been absolutely dominant at Citi Field this season, and even on nights when they haven't dominated, they mostly found ways to win. At least until this past weekend, when Clay Holmes was pulled too early in his Friday start and Paul Blackburn imploded in relief, Tylor Megill and Griffin Canning both fell apart in their respective starts and the bats couldn't back them up.

6/13/25 How the Mets and Yankees are setting up a long-awaited baseball summer. beyond the back page How the Mets and Yankees are setting up a long-awaited baseball summer By Dan Martin Published June 13, 2025, 7:52 a.m. ET Brandon Nimmo, Tyrone Taylor and Juan Soto celebrate the Mets' win over the Nationals on June 12, 2025. Jason Szenes for the NY Post The Mets and Yankees have given New Yorkers pretty much everything they could hope for this spring. With summer just over a week away — and the weather already feeling like it — both teams are primed to make the next few months quite entertaining. Of course, fall is what really matters, but the Mets, winners of six games in a row and 15 of 18, and Yankees, winners of three in a row and 16 of 22, are primed to win their divisions

The veteran left fielder launched a pair of solo home runs, walked and scored three runs in the Mets' 5-0 win over the Nationals on Wednesday night. Up to 12 home runs on the season, it was his second two-homer game — with the other also coming against the Nationals, back on April 28 in Washington. Nevertheless, luck has not been on his side for much of this season. Nimmo entered Wednesday with a .231 batting average — a far cry from his .259 career average.

At first, the ball looked like it would be caught by the center fielder, who tracked it all the way to the wall and motioned as if to catch it.

6/04/25 How New York Mets' on-deck sledgehammer routine originated. Fans who stayed up late to watch the New York Mets play in Los Angeles the past couple of nights may have noticed an unusual routine in the on-deck circle. Following Monday night's game, a viral photo taken by a fan at Dodger Stadium showed Mets outfielder Brandon Nimmo warming up with a sledgehammer instead of a bat. When Nimmo continued the routine on Tuesday, SNY field reporter Steve Gelbs explained on the broadcast how it started. Nimmo told Gelbs it was actually something slugging first baseman Pete Alonso brought to the team.

6/01/25 Mets veteran pulled after homering against Rockies. Should club be worried?. Mets left fielder Brandon Nimmo was raking against the Colorado Rockies before being pulled for defense in the seventh inning. This was an unusual pull by Mets manager Carlos Mendoza as Nimmo, who was 2-for-4, has been automatic in left field — his six defensive runs saved rank second among qualified left fielders (FanGraphs). After Saturday's 8-2 win at Citi Field, Nimmo revealed he'd asked to be pulled from the game after feeling “a little calf cramp.” “More precautionary than anything,” Nimmo said.

5/28/25 My bad. Mets veteran breaks down play that robbed Juan Soto of hit. Mets left fielder Brandon Nimmo has made a career of putting his head down and running as fast as he could. On first base after singling in his first at-bat, Nimmo took off after Soto connected on a pitch, lining it to center field. White Sox outfielder Michael A. Taylor trapped Soto's line drive in right-center, but the crowd's reaction indicated to Nimmo that perhaps it was caught.

5/24/25 Mets Notebook: Brandon Nimmo and Mark Vientos out of lineup vs. Dodgers. Brandon Nimmo and Mark Vientos were both out of lineup Saturday against the Los Angeles Dodgers after injuries took them out of action the night prior in the series opener. Mark Vientos could be available off the bench later in the game, but it sounds unlikely that Nimmo will be able to play in the series. Vientos felt an abdominal muscle tighten up Friday afternoon before the Mets started a series against the defending World Series champs. The issue is considered to be relatively minor, but the Mets wanted to be cautious.
