The next one is coming on Friday and it's likely to bring more attrition to the Detroit Tigers' roster. On Tuesday, the Tigers added two prospects to the roster at the deadline for setting reserve lists before next month's Rule 5 Draft. In a corresponding move, two pitchers were cut . Friday is the non-tender deadline, which is the final day the Tigers can part ways with players under team control to whom they don't wish to offer a 2024 contract. The deadline is often a time for MLB teams to ditch arbitration-eligible players who will make too much money in 2024, but even players making the minimum salary can be vulnerable to non-tenders.
