9/09/25 Red Sox Rumors: Pitcher From Rafael Devers Trade Joining Club. Harrison is joining the club and is expected to be activated ahead of its series finale with the Athletics on Wednesday, according to Worcester T&G's Tommy Cassell. Harrison, who was acquired from the San Francisco Giants in the Rafael Devers trade on June 15, has spent the last couple of months in Triple-A Worcester. The Red Sox appeared to have promoted him last week, though plans changed and he never earned the promotion despite being brought into the fold for a couple of days. Connelly Early, another left-handed pitcher who recently spent time with the WooSox, is expected to make his debut with the Red Sox on Tuesday.

9/08/25 Red Sox Still Firmly In Division Race Alongside Blue Jays, Yankees. The Boston Red Sox remain part of a division where three contenders look dangerous, yet flawed. Boston rebuilt its identity after trading Rafael Devers in June. In response, the Red Sox leaned on their pitching core of Garrett Crochet, Brayan Bello and Lucas Giolito, putting together a 42-29 record since the Devers deal. Now, they're without rookie Roman Anthony due to an oblique injury that has stalled his breakout debut. But their resilience has kept them in the mix , wrote Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic. The New York Yankees, meanwhile, remain a study in unpredictability. The Yankees surged with a 4-2 stretch against first-place foes Houston and Toronto, briefly quieting doubts. Yet their tendency

9/05/25 Giants could make $400 million play for Cubs' Kyle Tucker, per Jeff Passan. Over the past few offseasons, there hasn't been a team more interested in landing a star than the San Francisco Giants. Unfortunately, the Giants haven't been able to find said star, but they were able to trade for one during the trade deadline by acquiring Rafael Devers from the Boston Red Sox. The Giants have played better baseball recently, and the expectation is for them to be more than fine in the long term. The question remains for the Giants, however, whether they'll be able to attract some of the top free agents on the market.

9/04/25 Giants Clearly Made Correct Choice Including Veteran in Blockbuster with Red Sox. The San Francisco Giants were at the center of the Major League Baseball universe over the summer when they pulled off a shocking trade with the Boston Red Sox for their disgruntled slugger Rafael Devers. At the time of the deal, most considered the Giants to have gotten away with a steal by having sent away Kyle Harrison, Jordan Hicks and two prospects in exchange for one of the best hitters in the sport, albeit on a large contract. In the weeks following, San Francisco looked like they could have a case of buyer's remorse as the 28-year-old struggled in the transition. Once the calendar turned to August however, Devers has been on an absolute tear, and though Boston has performed well since the trade as a team, the individual pieces of the return have not.
