5/23/25 Yankees Staffer Shares Team's Real Thoughts on Juan Soto. The New York Yankees lost out on the opportunity to keep superstar hitter and infielder Juan Soto last December when he chose to sign a record-breaking 15-year, $765 million contract with the New York Mets. The Yankees should be ruing the day they lost out on the opportunity, right? Heyman wrote earlier this week that, in an interview, an anonymous Yankees staffer asserted that the team is 'definitely' better off without Soto. In lieu of Soto, the Yankees signed veteran first baseman Paul Goldschmidt, who is having a sensational season with a .339 batting average, and left-handed pitcher Max Fried, who thus far is boasting a 1.29 ERA for the Pinstripes.

5/23/25 Yankees staff member makes harsh admission about Mets' Juan Soto. When deciding on which team he would spend the vast majority of his MLB career with this past offseason, superstar slugger Juan Soto ultimately narrowed his options down to the New York Mets and the New York Yankees. Of course, he ultimately went with the Mets, signing a 15-year, $765 million deal with the club in December. This has made him public enemy No. 1 at Yankee Stadium, which was shown by his reception when the Mets came to the Bronx last weekend. The Yankees made an impressively quick pivot after losing the Juan Soto sweepstakes, as they signed left-handed ace Max Fried just a few days after his decision while also bringing veteran hitters Paul Goldschmidt and Cody Bellinger on board.

5/22/25 We're waiting for Juan Soto to be Juan Soto again. It’s reasonable to acknowledge when Soto is failing to reach the lofty standard he has set for himself. And Soto’s past 10 games do not resemble the supersonic talent he possesses.

5/22/25 Mets made 'hard push' to sign Dodgers World Series champion. The New York Mets snapped a losing streak against the Boston Red Sox on Wednesday to join the handful of teams that have reached the 30-win mark. Despite some controversy surrounding Juan Soto, the Mets have enjoyed a strong start to the season after a Cinderella playoff run last year followed by a blockbuster offseason. In addition to Soto, the team added Clay Holmes and Frankie Montas and re-signed Pete Alonso and Sean Manaea, among other moves.
