Jeffers was hit in the mask by a foul tip during Thursday's game against the Chicago White Sox and missed the ensuing two games. 8/12/25 As role expands, Twins catcher Ryan Jeffers feeling 'best I've felt'. For the past two and a half seasons, the Minnesota Twins have committed themselves to a nearly-even timeshare behind the plate, alternating starts between Ryan Jeffers and Christian Vazquez. The duo's impressive streak of starting every game behind the plate since the beginning of the 2023 season came to an abrupt, unexpected end over the weekend after Vazquez developed an infection in his shoulder that led to a hospitalization and a procedure to clean it out. With Vazquez out indefinitely, Jeffers will see an expanded opportunity. It comes at a good time as the 28-year-old, who in his sixth season in the majors, says he feels “probably the best I've felt in the big leagues,” at the plate.

8/05/25 Ryan Jeffers Hits A Home Run And Shares A Sweet Family Bond. Since the recent fire sale from the Minnesota Twins, I can understand if you aren't keen on 'news' from the organization. If you are a fan of baseball, you know that giving signs or signals to teammates has always been a part of the game. The Houston Astros were caught stealing pitch signs from the catcher, and alerting their teammates at bat what pitch was coming by banging on a trash can. A recent hand sign was caught on camera by a Minnesota Twin after he mashed a home run, and was celebrated by his teammates in the dugout.

7/09/25 Minnesota Twins beat Chicago Cubs 4-2, but Buxton injures hand. MINNEAPOLIS (KNFL/KFGO/AP) — Ryan Jeffers and Carlos Correa each had an RBI as the Minnesota Twins scored a pair of first-inning runs for the second straight game in a 4-2 win over the Chicago Cubs on Wednesday night. Matt Wallner added a solo homer for the Twins in the third, which proved to be enough for right-hander David Festa (3-3), who went 5 1/3 innings and allowed a pair of runs in the fourth inning. Minnesota's bullpen tossed 3 2/3 scoreless innings. Closer Jhoan Duran, who was unavailable Tuesday due to illness, earned his 14th save of the season. The Twins lost All-Star center fielder Byron Buxton to injury. Buxton was hit in the hand in the first inning. He remained in the game initially

6/21/25 Twins quieted in loss to Brewers: “It’s embarrassing”. The Twins haven’t been hitting particularly well. They haven’t been pitching particularly well. And on Saturday, they didn’t play defense particularly well, either. “You want to sum it up in one word: it’s embarrassing,” catcher Ryan Jeffers said. “We’re big-league ballplayers, and we’re not playing like a big-league club. We can’t expect to win baseball games and play like that, all around. ...
